  1. Day 1

    Las Vegas

    You'll arrive in Las Vegas and check into your hotel, then have the rest of the day to settle in. If you're in the mood, there's time to try the casinos or simply unwind after traveling. This evening, you'll meet your Travel Director and the rest of the group for a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant just off the Strip.

  2. Day 2

    Red Rock Canyon to Death Valley

    Start early looking at the towering red cliffs and sandstone peaks of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, and keep your eyes open for La Madre Mountain. From there, you'll head to Death Valley, one of the largest national parks in the country. After checking into your hotel, spend the evening relaxing and trying out the on-site restaurant.

    Death Valley

    A guided tour takes you through Death Valley's most famous spots, including Zabriskie Point and Badwater Basin Salt Flats, which sits at the lowest point below sea level in the western hemisphere. Later this afternoon, you'll have free time back at the hotel to relax or take advantage of one of the most unique spring-fed swimming pools in the region.

    Travel through the Mojave National Preserve and stop at Calico, a ghost town from 1881 that's now a preserved historic landmark from the Old West mining era. You'll then continue to Palm Springs in the Coachella Valley. For dinner, you'll eat at a restaurant that's been a local favorite for over 20 years.

    Palm Springs

    This morning, take a celebrity and lifestyle tour to see Palm Springs' distinctive mid-century architecture and custom homes. In the afternoon, you'll participate in a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER Experience with Palm Springs Windmill Tours to learn about wind energy and renewable power production. If you're interested, there's an option to ride the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway up the mountain for views of the valley. Later, head to Village Fest downtown for a festive street fair just across from your hotel.

    Salton Sea to Yuma

    Travel around the Salton Sea, one of the world's largest inland bodies of water and one of Earth's lowest spots at over 230 feet below sea level. Stop at the Visitor Centre to learn about the area's geology and history. Then continue to Yuma Territorial Prison, a living museum showcasing Old West history and the stories of the 3,069 prisoners it held over many decades. Walk through the cells, main gate, and guard tower, all dating back more than a century.

    As you travel through the Sonoran Desert National Monument, you'll spot saguaro cacti in this most biologically diverse desert in North America. Journey through the Old West landscape and arrive in Tucson, a culturally diverse UNESCO City of Gastronomy surrounded by mountains. Enjoy lunch and a Be My Guest experience at Borderlands Brewing Company, where you'll learn about their award-winning Southwestern beers before having a Southwest-inspired lunch. Your downtown hotel is centrally located, and you'll have the evening free to check out the local restaurant scene.
