Beijing
You'll touch down at Beijing airport and find your guide waiting outside customs. From there, head to your hotel to get checked in and settled. The rest of your day is open, so take some time to rest and get oriented to the city.

Beijing
Start your morning at Tiananmen Square, then walk through the Forbidden City to see its halls, pavilions, and the Treasure Gallery. After lunch at a local restaurant, you'll check out the Temple of Heaven, an imperial sacrificial altar. Later, catch an acrobatic show at the Red Theater and finish with a welcome dinner featuring Peking Roast Duck.

Beijing
Head to Mutianyu Great Wall and take the cable car up and back down. You'll raise a glass of red wine with the group while on the wall. After a buffet lunch, drive back toward the city with a photo stop at the Olympic Stadium (Bird's Nest). In the afternoon, take a rickshaw tour through the old Hutong neighborhoods and visit a local family's home.

Beijing to Xi'an
Spend your morning at the Summer Palace, a famous imperial garden. Grab lunch at a local restaurant, then head to Beijing train station to board the high-speed train to Xi'an, which takes between 4.5 and 5.5 hours. When you arrive, your driver and guide will meet you and take you to your hotel.

- Day 5
Xi'an
Begin with the Terracotta Army, where you'll see life-sized terracotta warriors across three pits plus the Exhibition Hall of Cultural Relics. After lunch at a nearby restaurant, visit the home of the person who first discovered the Terracotta Army and try making your own mini clay warrior. The afternoon brings you to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Evening features a Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show during a dumpling dinner.

Xi'an to Shanghai
Start at City Wall Park watching locals go about their day, then practice Tai Chi with a master instructor. Walk the City Wall itself, the most complete existing urban fortification in China. Explore the Muslim Quarter and try local food with your guide. Later, head to the airport to fly to Shanghai, where your guide picks you up and takes you to your hotel.

Shanghai
Visit the Shanghai Museum, one of China's four largest museums. Check out Yu Garden, a classical Chinese garden, and browse the traditional bazaar nearby. In the afternoon, head to the Bund for a one-hour cruise along the Huangpu River. Your guide will escort you into your hotel lobby.
