This small group tour covers Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai, focusing on China's culture and history as well as the modern city views. There is no wildlife and local market included. Please note that our small group tour have fixed itinerary and travel date. If it doesn't meet your requirement, we can also offer a customized private tour, but private tour price for a solo traveler is quite high as no one to share the service charge with you.

Are the flights to and from Hong Kong included in the cost?

This is a Small Group Tour of Beijing, Xian and Shanghai, it does NOT include any international flights to Beijing or departure from Shanghai.

What are the Visa requirements and costs if I fly direct from the US. What if I fly through Seoul?

If you fly from US to China and get back to US directly, you need to apply for a China Visa, which costs around USD 140. For US passport holders, if you fly from Seoul to China and then back to US, you are qualified for the 240-Hour (10 Days) Visa-Free Transit to China.

Why should I book your tour without time for souvenir shopping?

We arrange no shopping tour, which means we will not bring you to such kind of shops. You will not feel any pressure on this kind of places. If you want to buy souvenir, there are shops outside each sightseeing spot. You can buy some if you like. In the evening, you will also have free time. Then you can do some shopping if you want.

Require vegetarian food. Want to extend the tour to 4day excursion to Zhangjiajie Gullin, chendu.

I am sorry that 4 days is not enough to cover all these three cities. You may consider to join our group tour with Zhangjiajie.

I'm looking to book for my mother and myself the 8-Day Best of China Tour: Luxury Small Group & High-end Hotels, All Inclusive. Although it says welcome to all ages, I read in the fine print that is not suitable for people over 80yo. Mum is a fit 83yo that walks pretty much everyday and is ok with light activities. Can you let me know if I can book this tour for her and what was the reason you consider the tour not suitable for over 80's.

If you travel with your mum, it is no problem to book this tour for two of you. But, your mother should purchase the travel insurance for herself and we need the the copy of the insurance.

I am interested in the tour to china. However is their any way I can go into a twin room even though I am travelling on my own. I am happy to share the room.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 3rd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 3rd, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Travel China Guide. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Travel China Guide will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
