At the moment, Westerners can only explore Tibet with a tour guide, and so I would heartily recommend you go with this tour company - everything was very well organised, right from the booking process to the tour itself, which covered everything we wanted to see. Our guide Kal Dor was exceptional - friendly & fun while still being professional and well organised, and very informative without ever being boring. We really couldn’t have hoped for a better guide. The driver too, was fantastic - we felt very safe on the twisty, switchback roads over the mountains and high passes. The minibus was clean, comfortable and water & oxygen were supplied.Show more

  There is No direct flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa so far, so my suggestion to you is you apply for the China visa from Chinese Embassy in your contry before entering China. Then you could taking the flight or train from one of China cities to Lhasa directly. If you like to go from Tibet to Kathmandu, I highly suggest you to join our 7 Days Lhasa to Kathmandu Overland Group Tour starts on 17th Sep.

Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 8th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 8th, 2026, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with Tibet Vista. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Tibet Vista will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
