We had a wonderful time with Gadventures on our trip to Peru! We would absolutely recommend using them for such trip. (prepare for a long in depth review). It started in Lima where we met our first Gadventures employee at our hotel on night one. She was incredibly nice and helpful, however not all the information she gave us was correct. (About the small things of the trip). Our guide in Cusco was nice, we were happy to have him. Disappointing that all of our time in Cusco was on weekends which meant we couldn't go to the Inka Museum. We chose to do the Lares Trek, everything on that trip was perfect, starting with our amazing guide Gato (Sergio). He was everything I could've imagined and more. He knew everything about everything when it comes to the history of the area, had a great sense of humour and was an incredible person to be around. We had some minor altitude issues, and he was there to make sure we were ok and have a laugh with us about our symptoms when we were feeling better. After the hike we visited Machu Picchu with Gato, he again ensured that we had an absolutely incredible time. Pointing out things I didn't even realise were there. He even had pictures of when Machu Picchu was first 'discovered' which was super interesting. It is obvious that he is passionate about the country he is from and wants the world to experience it. I hope whenever I go hiking again with Gadventures that I can have a guide like Gato (Or fly him whereever I'm going ;) Our cook Justo did an incredible job feeding us 4 course meals as if we were in a premium restaurant, along with Leo who made sure we prepared with the other nuances of camping. We booked the trip to Rainbow Mountain, our guide was running 5 minutes late and had the decency to contact the hotel to let us know that they were sorry and on their way. It was perfectly organised and the breakfast and lunch were great. The guide took great care of everyone in the group. We then went to Puerto Maldonado and met our new guide for the jungle Leao. He was super passionate and could spot the smallest animal hiding in obscure places. I almost though he had X-Ray vision it was so impressive. The lodge itself was wonderful. Like something you see in the movies. The boat ride - fantastic! Overall, I would really recommend this trip to anyone and I have already to people who have asked me about it. Only improvement I can think of is to update the information in the app as it seems a little outdated/incorrect.
It went beyond my expectations and was the best holiday ever.

The jungle tour was very good in all aspects; guide tours, accomodation and food.
- by Maria SzymochaOverall the tour was great. The main highlight was absolutely the Inca trail, where the arrangements were amazing, our guides were fantastic and the porters and chefs were out of this world. I wasn’t the fittest of people doing it and the support from the guides (and my fellow travellers) was incredible. In addition to this, the food was ridiculously good (perhaps a little too much to have 3 course lunch and dinner with afternoon tea in between) and the fact that we had a portable toilet was awesome. Other highlights included the walking tour of Lima, the time in Cusco, seeing some incredible animals in the jungle (albeit the guides willingness to poke tarantulas with sticks was a little scary), a couple of amazing nights out with the group and our tour guide, the home stay in lake titicaca and the opportunities to see the work of indigenous people and purchase some of it. Given all of this, you may be wondering why 4 stars instead of 5. The answer is that there were some areas of disorganisation and communication that made it challenging to plan and just introduced unnecessary stress. The largest of which was only being given 30 minutes to pack for the Inca trail. 4 days of an arduous trek for which having the right stuff could make a huge difference and we were unnecessarily rushed. There were also a few times where we were given incomplete information, such as about meals we would need to pay for, and opportunities to buy stuff. While I appreciated the chance to buy handmade goods from local people, we were given no indication of price or how much cash to carry, and there were then additional costs thrown in afterwards that weren’t given up front. When asking clear questions, the answers were often entirely unclear and convoluted, leading to more confusion. There was also little information given about certain logistical things - such as there only being a few hours of electricity per day at the jungle lodge (so that people could bring power packs) or that there would be no hot water or that you would need to wear long sleeves and pants in 35 degree weather with high humidity. Instead you were told 6 times not to forget your torch. Yes, I can see how that mattered, but given most people have a phone that can be used as a torch, was fairly low risk. Most people would not plan on packing long sleeves into their duffel for boiling weather unless told to do so. The scheduling in general was problematic - there was almost no free time for the vast majority of the tour. Even when there was time, additional things were pulled together which frankly weren’t worth the time but you didn’t want to miss anything. Given that the trip did involve a very challenging hike, a little more downtime would’ve been appreciated. The folks who did the Inca trail also weren’t able to do the hot springs at aquas calientes and got less than an hour to explore the town, which was honestly just really disappointing and felt like it was just an unnecessary way to schedule things. Getting back to Cusco 2 hours later would’ve been much better than missing such a cool and interesting experience. The other real annoyance was the journey to la Paz at the end. This was entirely pointless and just created logistical challenges for trying to get home on a sensible return flight. I would’ve been happy to overlook this had there been activities in la Paz, but the only activity was an hour orientation tour to show us some basic locations of things. We then had dinner as a group and that was it. It took us more than 10 hours to get there, crossing the border was a bit hectic and there genuinely seemed to be no point whatsoever. A flight back to Lima (or Cusco) would’ve been infinitely preferable and it is really unclear why this is the way intrepid have chosen to end this tour. One assumes cost, but it’s not like this is a cheap tour. Had I known the full story, I probably wouldn’t have booked this tour. Additionally, the communication from intrepid was appalling. Not sure if they just don’t have anyone monitoring your radar, but it was a battle to get basic information out of them. Some other issues that should be rectified - the materials make a big deal about the Inca trail not being luxury as it is camping. I don’t think anyone expects it to be, but the reality was that the facilities there were sometimes better than the hotels. The general standard of the hotels was pretty poor - from lacking hot water to sub-standard breakfasts to cleanliness issues. The best hotel by far was the one in la Paz. Transport was also fairly hit and miss, and some timings felt entirely arbitrary. The materials sent up front could give much more useful information and the guides need to be much better at communicating basic requirements in advance. Overall the trip was amazing. But I think that this was almost in spite of intrepid rather than because of them. We got great guides on the Inca trail, but they’re freelance so that was probably luck of the drawer. We also had a great group which made a huge difference. The Inca trail is an experience that should not be missed, but this tour might not be the one to do it on.

We had a good stay at Paradise Amazon lodge near Tambopata. The accommodation had a quaint rustic feel, enjoyed being off the grid. The activities were spaced out so overall it was very relaxing - would definitely recommend if you're looking for a relaxing vacation. Our guide Jonathan was very knowledgeable and helped us with our activities throughout.
- by Pracheetee Dilip JoagI had a wonderful time. So many great experiences, swimming in the Amazon, ziplining in the jungle, nature hikes, animal sanctuaries. The hotel grounds are wonderful. And the food is delicious. Staff is super attentive and friendly. Great place if you just want to chill but also lots of optional activities.

This is an amazing trip and it was more than my expectation. Full mark for Nicky Lodge for their organisation
- by NGOC HAI LUONGThe 5 day tour at Nicky Lodge was amazing. Our guide Evi was so welcoming and knowledgeable, everywhere you look there’s something amazing to see, from birds, reptiles and monkeys to all the medicinal plants, Evi would explain and answer any question you had with great detail. Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had. The food and accommodation are also great. Highly recommend for anyone thinking about going (all ages, we had children and adults in our group), you will not be disappointed!

From the pick up from the hostel to the Tours inside the jungle everything was awesome! The only thing: you can book the same tour in Manaus with local companies and pay a lot less!! :)
- by Marlene TaschwerThe activities were good and the staff very friendly. The guide wasn't fluent in English but it was possible to understand him. The food was delicious and they even made extra food for vegetarians (there was the same food every day, which I guess is quite common in Amazonas and I didn't mind). The tour was interesting and as described! Unfortunately the communication prior to the tour wasn't good in terms of pick up time and if there are other tourists at the same tour (there weren't on the first day).

Fantastic Trip We spent 1 week in Ecuador, split between the Amazon and the Andes. Both hotels, guides were excellent and the trip ran seamlessly. We loved it!
- by DorinaFreiAlejandro was simply the BEST and made each and every day of our week long tour exceptional. He chose unbelievable accommodations that were unique and memorable and he knew the business owners and locals everywhere we went! Alejandro kept us on schedule so we could maximize our time there but remained flexible to meet the needs of our wanderlust and spur of the moment desires! We felt completely safe and "pampered" at all times. He is extremely knowledgeable of all things Ecuador, it's people, culture and environment.

The Amazon was an amazing experience, but our tour guide was not the best. He asked if we had different things once we were there and acted as if we should have known to bring them (items such as boots), but these items were not given on a list of things to bring and they were not provided like they were with other companies we saw. It was a good experience, but I was not impressed with the tour guide’s information or communication during the entire tour as well as before.

My experience with tour radar and Bamba was horrible. Poor communication and lied to us to get out of paying us a refund. I will never use this company again. I will put this review online also to warn others
- by KirstenIt was an amazing once-in-a-lifetime trip. Our group was quite small and we all got along very well. Our guide, Matias from Iguana Tours, was incredible. He cooked us an amazing dinner in the jungle over the fire and again for breakfast outdid himself. He was very motivated and knows everything.
