I loved it jaffa and Jerusalem were awesome ourvtourcguide was awesome
- by Paul WilliamsAwesome tour from start to finish. Our Jordan guide Ghadain was well organised and informative. Tour bus was comfy and accom met or exceeded expectations. Visiting Petra was the highlight. We had difficulties with a truck strike on at the time so our itinerary had some alterations to times and we missed out seeing a couple of things which was unfortunate. The only part of the tour which definitely required better organisation was Wadi Rum. Though a spectacular place, we spent four hours without a toilet and were not fully prepared for how cold it would get as the sun went down. Would have made sense to check into the accommodation first. Our tour guide for Israel, Maher, was awesome. He didn't overfeed us information and had a funny sense of humour. We did feel the last day was unnecessarily rushed though. Some additional time seeing more of Haifa and Old Jaffa Port would have been good. Overall though, I would highly recommend this tour and would not hesitate to book another On The Go tour.

1/2 stars for the tour itself not the destination.. for all of the following reasons: Expect multiple tours joining on and off one bus - expect 4-6 twice daily hotel pick up/drop ofs.. expect to not eat as a group for dinner it’s multiple tours on one bus - this was fine for me but some others didn’t like it.. I upgraded for 4first and the hotels were maybe 2 star UK the Jerusalem one looked lovely but unfortunately had bedbugs which they seemed unperturbed by? Other people on the bus booked 4 superior and one of theirs were also grim. The 3star I heard was like UK homeless hostels. Expect zero comms/apologies from your operator during the trip. Expect your driver/guides to change planned itinerary and bring you to waste your time instead in boring shops where everything costs more than shops/markets/eBay :0). Expect your driver/guide to stop for basic expensive (and in quemaran inedible food) I get that they need to corral the group so everyone is fed together to keep the tight schedule for gift shops - lol. Strongly advise when going to Dead Sea being some supermarket snacks instead - always have this as a back up just in case. If you are prepared for all of this it’s an interesting and educational place for your whistle stops through the attractions and long languishing time in overpriced gift shops. Re the destination: do your own historical research - don’t always take what the guides say as factually correct. The Dead Sea is incredible please go in and please cover yourself in mud it’s amazing how it makes your skin feel. If you get the lakeside hotel in Galilee make the effort to get to the hot springs which close at 5pm but you only need 10 mins it’s wonderful and free and not part of the tour and also go on the not included boat trip it was $20usd but it’s lovely the boat folks dance and it’s fun. Oh and be very careful in the market the tour brings you to please double and triple check the prices on everything and before you tap your card.. one couple got badly ripped off - I didn’t have this issue. Enjoy yourself with all of the above in mind try to get time for street food before or after the tour. Tip well regardless..
- by Lucinda CaseyGuys just book this go you will absolutely love it. The guide was better than you could ever hope for. The tour was great we saw and learned so much more than they can fit in the description. Food ranged from good to great. Hotels were great except I’d recommend you upgrade your nights in Tel Aviv. Also recommend staying for an extra day or two in the city at the end to explore. The whole trip was beyond expectations and we return home feeling very thankful.

Great plan of the trip and special shoutout to the guide Mahdi! Very informative and kindest person I’ve met.
- by Paulina BiałekThe tour is excellent once you are in Jordan and until you try to return to Israel. The trip is well laid out. The lodging, while rustic, was very good with fantastic food. Important safety tip: the resort does not serve any alcoholic beverages. If you want some wine with your dinner you will need to bring yourself. They seemed to have no problem with us drinking our own and even loaned us a corkscrew. The border crossing is a huge problem. You will waste half of the first and half of the second day just getting through the disorganized process on the Israel side.

it was good, visited lot of heritage places. I will definitely do it again.
- by Afolashade BamigbadeI thoroughly enjoyed the Past to the Future - The Story of the Israeli State tour with Consolidated Tour Operators, Boaz, our tour guide, had a deep understanding of the history of the area, which made the experience come alive. The way he presented the places he took us, and in the order he presented them, gave us a real appreciation of Israel and its place in history. His attention to detail, easy-going personality, and expertise gave us an on parallel tour! Using Consolidated Tour Operators for our days in Israel was a treat. Not having to deal with or wait for strangers in a larger group also made the experience more personal. Will definitely recommend Consolidated Tour Operators and Boaz to friends and associates who are planning a trip to Israel! Many thanks, Lisa

It was a good tour. Must see
- by Michael TemesgenEXTREMELY poor communication and scheduling. We were not told that it is MANDATORY to have a cell phone for this tour. Otherwise, you cannot make connections at the airports, borders, or tour agents in Egypt. The only way to access the room in the Israel hotel was thru a cell phone app! Also, we were not told there was NO DEDICATED tour guide with us thru out the entire tour. Every day there was a different tour guide which you had to meet up with, often not knowing even what time he would meet you. The only breakfasts we got were on the cruise ship and the one day at the Wadi Rum camp, otherwise, every single day we got a very, very poor breakfast box. The scheduling was a nightmare. The breakfast at the Tel Aviv hotel started at 7:30 but the tours picked us up at 6:40 every morning. Why not put us in a hotel with an early breakfast? The transfer from Jordan to Egypt was awful. We got to the Jordan - Israel border around 6:00 pm. Then we went thru Eilat, then thru the Israel - Egypt border, then a 3 hour drive to the hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh. It was almost midnight before we got to our room and we had to get up at 4:00 for the flight to Cairo!! This should have been more specific in our itinerary. Also, NO ONE on the Nile cruise ship spoke good English, not even the ship front desk manager. Also, the ship had no knowledge of our tours or the tour guides each day. NO COMMUNICATION between the ship, the tour guides, and the tourists. I would not recommend this tour by Booking Tours to anyone. Tour radar is a good tour agent. They should not sell tours thru Booking Tours. This tour was misrepresented in every way. NO WAY is it a Luxury tour.

I'll start with the good. The tour itself is really good, the things that you see are breathtaking but the poor organisation of the tour mean that sometimes you can't enjoy the experience. Just so that other people are aware Tour Radar don't actually organise the tour they give this responsibility to another company called Bamba experience, but they also are not the ones organising the tour, the tour is actually given by Tourist Israel so probably easier to book directly with them. It took me a few days to just find out where the meeting point was. I emailed Bamba experience and this agent replied that the meeting point was in Tel Aviv. Not sure if they realised that is an entire city and not a place. Eventually I did find out where it was. When i first arrived at the meeting point no one knew who the first two companies were. Tourist israel is only mentioned in one of the many emails that they sent me so it was very difficult to know what i should ask about. I asked the driver if i was in the right place he told me he's not the tour guide, just the driver. I tried calling to ask on their 24h phone line and of course no one answered. I asked people around and some were on a 2 day tour some on a 4 day tour. Since mine was 3 i thought it might be a different one. Then i spoke to someone who was on the 3 day tour. On a whim i got on the bus. We drove all the way to the border without anyone checking tickets or anything like that. The border crossing takes about 3h - not the tour's fault but just a heads up. We get on the Jordanian side and there was no one from tourist israel, just this guy saying 'fun time, fun time'. Someone tells him that we're not with fun time but if he knows where the guide from tourist israel is and he's like oh yeah they are the same thing. This is something we were meant to somehow know. We go with him and my name wasn't on the list. I start calling them abd sending emails and they just told me they were gonna look into it. Eventually the border allows me to go and we continue the journey. Few hours later i ask the guide if he has heard anything else from the agency and he's like yes, did i not tell you? When we got to Petra, on our lunch break there was thus guy asking people for payment. I told them that i have already paid but they guy said that he doesn't care that he hasn't received the money and if i want to get back on the tour bus then i had to pay again. Given that my options were wuite limited i paid again as I didn't want to be left in Petra. Then I got back in touch with the agency and they ensured me that they will sort it out in a few days. It took over a month and constant emails for me to get my money back and every day they would tell me i would have my money in 2-3 days. We also didn't get to sleep in the Bedouin camp as promised in the offer, hotels were 2 stars max and the food was pretty bad. Again, the sights are amazing and well worth seeing but the organisation of the tour is deplorable. My advice is to book directly with tourist israel as they seem to be the only ones in the area actually organising tours, but ask first.

I was booked on the Ancient Sites and Epic Nights 8 day trip which (I think) departed from Jerusalem on the 29th January. Owing to the synagogue shootings on the 27th January in East Jerusalem followed by the shootings in the old town on the 28th I no longer felt it safe to make the trip. I fully understand the Ts and Cs around late cancellations and I also believe it to be right that the trip should run if possible if people still have the risk appetite to do it. What I would expect from any reputable tour company (which I thought G were having been a customer of theirs for 15 years) is empathy for the situation and respect for the individual risk appetite of the customer given the extreme circumstances. I expect the company to explore solutions to try and at least recompense the customer in some way for the costs that aren't sunk on G's end. Instead what I encountered was representatives of G attempting to gaslight me by telling me the trip was safe to run and everything was fine on the ground (unless their people on the ground have special intelligence how can they possibly know that) and cynically try and force me to formally cancel the tour as quickly as possible which I suspect was a way to try and force through a non-refund before any decision was made by head office to cancel the tour and therefore maximise their profits. I have been left extremely cold and disappointed by my experience with G Adventures and think I would never book with them again.
