- Day 1
Stockholm
You'll arrive in Stockholm, a city spread across roughly 25,000 islands. The afternoon and evening are completely yours to wander at your own pace. Take a walk through the streets, check out the royal areas, and head down Drottninggatan—Queen Street—where you'll find shops, bars, and cafes lining the way.

- Day 2
Stockholm
After breakfast at your hotel, a taxi picks you up from reception and takes you to a small port. You'll board the Royal Canal Cruise, learning about Stockholm's history and its 700-year heritage. The city's known as the 'Venice of the North' because it sits across 14 islands between Lake Mälaren and the Baltic Sea. Once the cruise wraps up, you have the rest of the day free to explore Stockholm on your own. No return transfer is included, so you'll arrange your own way back.

Stockholm to Oslo
You'll have breakfast at the hotel, then make your way to the train station on your own for a scenic high-speed train heading from Stockholm to Oslo. The comfortable journey takes you from Sweden into Norway. When you arrive, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring Oslo at your own pace. Walk around the city center, visit the harbor, or relax at one of the local cafes. Your Tour Leader will either meet you at the hotel this afternoon or at breakfast tomorrow morning.

- Day 4
Oslo
Meet your local guide at hotel reception for a 3-hour guided city tour starting at 11:00 AM. You'll see Oslo's main attractions including Frogner Park with its Vigeland sculptures, the Royal Palace, City Hall, and historic Akershus Fortress. There's an optional luggage service available—it can transport your bags from Oslo to Bergen by Day 7. If you use it, pack essentials in a smaller bag for your two nights in Balestrand, then drop your main luggage at reception before 6:30 PM. This works well since getting to Bergen involves two trains and a ferry.

Oslo - Myrdal - Flåm - Balestrand
After breakfast, you'll catch the Bergen Railway from Oslo in the morning, traveling through dramatic mountain landscapes to Myrdal. There you'll connect to the Flåmsbana Railway, one of the world's steepest and most scenic train rides. The panoramic journey descends past cliffs, waterfalls, remote farms, and through 20 tunnels before reaching the fjord village of Flåm. You'll have time to explore, then board an afternoon cruise through the Sognefjord—Norway's longest fjord and the 'King of the Fjords'—gliding past towering peaks to Balestrand. Schedule: 08:25 departure Oslo, 13:03 Myrdal arrival, 13:27 to 14:25 on Flåmsbana, 15:30 cruise departing Flåm, arriving Balestrand 16:50.

Balestrand
Breakfast is at your hotel, and then the morning is yours to explore Balestrand and the surrounding fjord landscape at a relaxed pace. Stroll along the waterfront, visit the art galleries, or just soak in the quiet Nordic atmosphere. If you want something more active, there's an optional half-day excursion to Fjærland where glaciers meet the fjord. You'll take a scenic boat through the Fjærlandsfjord, visit the Norwegian Glacier Museum to see Ivo Caprino's film, then coach to the Supphellebreen and Boyabreen glaciers before heading back to Balestrand by boat.

Balestrand to Bergen
You'll have an early breakfast, then walk a short distance from your hotel to the pier and board an express boat cruise to Bergen. The journey travels along the Sognefjord, passing by majestic cliffs, quiet villages, and beautiful Nordic landscapes. The boat departs Balestrand at 07:50 AM and arrives in Bergen at 11:50 AM (schedule may change). Once you arrive, drop your luggage at the hotel, then meet your local guide at reception for a walking tour through Bergen's key spots—the Hanseatic Bryggen, Church of Mary, Hakon Fortress, and the Fish Market.

Walk through the historic Bryggen Wharf with its colorful buildings, browse the Fish Market, or take the Fløibanen funicular up Mountain Fløyen for views across the city. If you want more structured activities, optional experiences include a Bergen Food Tour starting at 15:00 or a Fjord Cruise to Mostraumen departing at 14:00, both running about 3 hours.
