Halong Bay to Hanoi and Return
You'll start with a 2.5-hour drive from Halong Bay heading into Hanoi. Once there, check out the Temple of Literature, which gives you insight into Vietnam's educational history, and then walk through the Hoa Lo Prison Museum to learn about the country's past. Around lunch, grab some authentic Vietnamese street food in the Old Quarter, eating where locals actually go. After that, you'll take a traditional cyclo ride through the colonial neighborhoods to see how the city looked during French occupation. Next, visit the Train Street cafe, a quirky spot set right on active railroad tracks where you can have coffee while watching trains pass by. From there, it's time to head back to port so you can make your ship's departure.
