There were some inconsistencies and confusions raised in the trip notes on TRs site. For example, it reads "You'll arrive in Astana and spend the day settling in. Later this evening, head to the airport for a domestic flight heading west to Aktau on the Caspian Sea coast, which kicks off your Kazakhstan adventure.".... when I fact no one went through astana, the tour itself started in aktau. From reading the above description it would seem logical that astana was included (somehow) and perhaps even that flight gives an appearance of being included. There is not definitive itinerary start city. It should Day 1, arrive Aktau any time. With respect to Baikonur, we didn't spend a full day there (just an afternoon) and only at thr museum in town answer finding models of rockets and satellites in the town. We never went outside the town nor go any info about the workings of the cosmodrome. All hotels were good. All transport ws excellent- the train was funShow more

Dear Peter, The Kazakhstan tour departing on May the 14-th was a "Pioneer Tour" and according our booking conditions "More often than not, it is impossible to plan every detail on these tours, and changes can occur as we are exploring the destination". As Baikonur is a closed city under Russian administration going "outside" the city is not possible.
