Your driver meets you at Seeb International Airport in Muscat and takes you to the hotel. After settling in from your flight, the rest of the day is open for you to rest and get adjusted to the time zone.

Jabrin - Muscat
This morning the drive to Nizwa takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes. You'll walk through the traditional local market, then visit Bahla Fort, Oman's oldest castle. After grabbing lunch on your own, you head to Jibreen Castle in Jabrin where there are many rooms to explore along with intricate carvings throughout. The drive back to Muscat wraps up the day.

Muscat

Bimmah - Muscat
After a 2-hour drive, you'll reach Wadi Shab and transfer to a boat to enter the valley. A hike brings you to a waterfall where swimming or just taking in the views is an option. Before heading back to Muscat, there's a stop at Bimmah Park to see the sinkhole with its clear green water and a chance to swim if you'd like.

Then you'll visit banana and coconut plantations, tour the Frankincense Land Museum, and browse the traditional frankincense market. The day finishes with a visit to the Great Mosque.

Rub Al Khali Desert
You'll travel through the Rub Al Khali Desert (known as the Empty Quarter Desert) by car, visiting Bedouin communities along the way. As the sun begins to set, you'll climb the sand dunes to watch the light fade over the golden sand. After that, camping in the desert for the night gives you a memorable desert experience.

Salalah
The full day focuses on exploring Salalah and the surrounding region. A half-hour drive gets you to Taqah, an ancient fishing village where you'll tour Taqah Castle, the former private residence of Sheikh Al Ma'shani. Next stop is Mirbat, the historic start of the Frankincense Road, where you can see Bin Ali's Tomb with its distinctive double domes. Then you'll go to Mushsail Beach, and driving westward on the Hair-pin-bend Road reveals frankincense trees growing naturally in the deep valley below.
