Day 1
Bran Castle
You'll head to Bran Castle with your private guide and driver for the day. This 14th-century fortress sits in a dramatic location and has deep connections to the Dracula legend, making it one of Romania's most recognizable sites. Your guide walks you through the castle's history, showing you the rooms and passages while explaining how the stories came about. The architecture itself tells quite a bit about medieval life in the region. After touring the main structures, there's time to wander the grounds and take in views of the surrounding landscape. Later in the afternoon, you'll head back with plenty of photos and details about this important piece of Romanian culture and folklore.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and took us too many wonderful sights, some of which would be hard to find on our own. He was very responsive to our needs as older travelers and exceedingly helpful when my wife was injured and required emergency medical help in Romania and also Moldova. My wife felt that he treated her as if he was helping his own mother - so we give him (Nicolas Miriou and his associates) the highest possible recommendation!!!

Payment information
- For any tour departing before February 15th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 15th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Nicolas Experience Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
