  Is the May 22 to June 10 Great American Crossing running still for a solo traveller wanting a single room?

    Most of our tours for the May–June period are now fully booked, particularly those starting from New York.

    I am enquiring about the New York to Hollywood tour you are advertising, travelling from New York and finishing in Los Angeles, with a preferred departure date of 10 July 2026.
    This booking will be for two couples, and their pre‐tour accommodation requirements are as follows:
    Couple 1: 4 nights pre‐tour accommodation
    Couple 2: 2 nights pre‐tour accommodation
    Could you please confirm the full list of inclusions for this tour (e.g., transfers, meals, sightseeing, porterage, etc.), as well as what is excluded?
    Both couples will require twin bedding, so please ensure this configuration is available throughout the tour and pre‐tour stay.
    As I am a travel agent with Flight Centre Australia, I would also appreciate if you could provide both the nett cost and the gross amount per couple.
    
    Are you able to advise me whether this tour is a guaranteed departure.

    Please note that pre- and post-tour accommodation is not included in the package. Guests are welcome to arrange their own accommodation independently, according to their preferences.
    
    The tour itself includes accommodation in 4- and 3-star hotels and inns, as well as superior lodges, 5 breakfasts, transportation throughout the tour, and the services of experienced tour leaders. Twin bedding is available and can be provided for both couples throughout the tour.
    
    Items not included are flights, travel insurance, meals not specified in the itinerary, tips and gestures, entrance fees to sights and museums, optional activities, and any other services not explicitly stated in the itinerary.
    
    Finally, in terms of departure confirmation, our tours are fully confirmed within 60 days of the scheduled departure, ensuring that the tour will operate as planned once this period is reached.

  Could you please confirm the exact start and end dates/times of the tour (including approximate time on the first day and the finish time on the last day), so I know which flights I can book and from what time/date I can arrive or depart? Is there an option for room sharing (twin share), i.e., can you match me with another participant to share a room?

    Our USA tours do not operate on a shared room basis unfortunately; solo travellers are required to book with the single supplement.
    
    The tour begins on Day 1 with a welcome meeting held in the hotel lobby in the evening. The group will reach Los Angeles on the penultimate day, checking out on the last day by 12 PM. You may check out earlier to catch your departing flight.

  I am 22 years old and wondering if this trip includes any travellers around my age? I am working at Camp America until August 15th and looking to join an organised tour afterwards. Is it possible to share a room with someone or will I have to pay the higher amount because I am a solo traveller?

However, please note that if you're traveling solo, you'll need to select the single room option, which does come at a slightly higher cost, as room sharing isn't available for solo travellers for this tour.

  Will we have single and a double like we do in Australia and we just negotiate who has what bed ? Also will I be sharing with that person the whole trip ?

    Yes, you will be sharing the room with the same female passenger for the duration of the tour. The room will have two separate single beds — not a single and a double — so no need to negotiate bedding arrangements.

    Your departure will be from Los Angeles (LAX) on the last day of the tour, with hotel check-out by 11:30 AM—so we recommend booking your flight for the afternoon or later. Regarding the single supplement: for our USA tours, it is mandatory for solo travelers, as room sharing isn't available—each solo traveler is provided with their own room.

    What's Included in Your Final Tour Cost: Accommodation (private room due to solo status), Transportation throughout the tour, Tour guide services. Not Included (Optional Extras & Personal Costs): Optional excursions at various destinations like Manhattan Helicopter Ride, Harbor Cruise, Evening Tours, Helicopter Tours, Skydeck visits, and Scenic Flights. If you opt out of these extras, you won't be charged anything beyond your standard tour package.
