Arrival in Shanghai
An English-speaking guide meets you at Shanghai airport or railway station and drives you to your hotel by private car, taking roughly an hour. From there, you can either settle in after traveling or head out on your own to wander the city's streets and get a feel for the local atmosphere.

Shanghai Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast, you'll join a full-day guided tour starting around 8:30 AM. The morning takes you through Yu Garden, a classical Ming Dynasty site where you can also browse the old bazaar for souvenirs, then to Jade Buddha Temple from 1882. Following lunch at a local restaurant, you'll check out Nanjing Road (5.5 kilometers of shopping) and the Bund waterfront before heading back to your hotel by 6:30 PM.

Shanghai at Leisure
Have breakfast at your hotel and then the day is yours to spend however you'd like. You can explore more of Shanghai on your own, hit the shops, or just relax at the hotel. If you want something more structured, there are three optional full-day excursions available: Zhujiajiao Water Town, Suzhou with its gardens and canals, or Tongli Water Town.

Departure from Shanghai
You'll have breakfast at the hotel, then check out and transfer to Shanghai airport or railway station at a time you've agreed on beforehand to continue with whatever comes next in your travels.
