Itinerary
- Day 1
Khustai National Park
After breakfast, you'll drive 3 to 4 hours through the Mongolian countryside heading to Khustai National Park. Once there, get an introduction to the park and its famous Przewalski's horses, known locally as takhi. A guide will take you out to spot wildlife like horses, deer, wolves, and various birds throughout the day. By evening, you'll settle into a ger camp where dinner comes with views across the steppe.

- Day 2
Kharkhorum - Erdenezuu Monastery
Head to Erdenezuu Monastery, the largest Buddhist site in Central Mongolia and located in the Khangai Mountains. The 16th-century complex has several temples, shrines, and pagodas to explore while learning about Buddhist history in the region. You'll have a chance to meet local monks and possibly catch ceremonies if the timing works out. Traditional Mongolian lunch happens near the monastery, then you'll stay overnight at either a guesthouse or ger camp.

Tsenkher Hot Spring
This day focuses on relaxation at Tsenkher Hot Spring, one of Mongolia's well-known geothermal sites in the Hangai Mountain region. The therapeutic waters have origins in Cenozoic volcanic activity, and you'll spend time soaking and letting the natural heat work on your body. The camp where you stay overnight sits surrounded by nature, making for a peaceful evening.

- Day 4
Orkhon Valley
Explore Orkhon Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site and historically important as the cradle of Mongolian civilization. The landscape here connects directly to the Mongol Empire's history, with ancient ruins scattered throughout. The Orkhon River running through the valley offers fishing, boating, and quiet spots along its banks. The highlight is the Orkhon Waterfall, a 20-meter drop created by volcanic eruptions, where you can hike, have a picnic, and take photographs.

Orkhon Waterfall
After breakfast, head to Tuvkhun Monastery, an important Buddhist site sitting on a hilltop within the Orkhon Valley. The hike up is fairly short but steep and scenic, leading to panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This monastery holds historical significance as the place where Zanabazar, a major Mongolian spiritual leader, practiced Buddhism.

Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dune
Arriving at Elsen Tasarkhai, you'll have a light picnic lunch or snack while taking in the sand dunes and steppe around you. The main activity here is a traditional camel ride through the dunes, a unique way to experience the desert-like terrain. After the ride, walk or hike around the dunes to see the contrast between desert and grasslands, with plenty of photo opportunities and natural scenery.

Terelj National Park
After breakfast, head to Terelj National Park starting at the Genghis Khan's Statue Complex, where a massive 40-meter equestrian statue offers panoramic views from the top. Continue into Terelj, Mongolia's most visited national park, to see Turtle Rock, the iconic rock formation that symbolizes the park. End the day with a hike to Ariyabal meditation temple, surrounded by scenic mountains and large rock formations on the mountainside.

Ulaanbaatar
Begin your journey back to Ulaanbaatar in the morning, heading toward the end of the tour. There's an optional stop available for shopping Mongolian cashmere if you're interested in picking up some items before departure.
