  We had an excellent experience with Odynovo Tours. From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully planned, and the level of service made us feel like VIPs. Each city had a different tour guide, and each was knowledgeable, engaging, and attentive. They shared meaningful historical context, making each destination more interesting and memorable. They also gave great shopping recommendations and arranged wonderful lunches that perfectly fit our preferences. A special thank you to Avril in Shanghai and Holly in Wuhan. Avril was incredibly informative and a pleasure to spend time with, and Holly made our train arrival in Wuhan smooth and stress-free. We also truly appreciated the train arrangements. We requested business class tickets, and Odynovo went above and beyond by securing a private train car for our family, which was a highlight of the trip. Overall, Odynovo exceeded our expectations in every way. We would absolutely travel with them again.Show more

  Our customized South China adventure prepared by Allison Chang at Odynovo included Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Guilin-Yangshuo, and Zhangiajie. Where to start? Everything went smoothly - from the train tickets, hotels, included meals, scenic sights, and all our guides, exceeded expectations. The cities, from ancient to modern, were fascinating. The natural beauty from Guilin to Zhangiajie was stunning and took our breath away. We went to Tianmen Mountain in the rain, but as we got to the stairs, the clouds miraculously cleared and we were lucky enough to see Heaven’s Gate. So don’t let the rain dissuade you. All our guides made the trip more manageable and more memorable. Linda, Lu, (English name Sophie) and Mei, (English name Cindy) treated us like friends and were a joy to be with. I highly recommend this trip and thank everyone mentioned for making it the trip of a lifetime.Show more

From the moment we met him, Roland impressed us with his deep knowledge, professionalism, and genuine passion for sharing the history and culture of his city. He guided me through Beijing’s most iconic landmarks — the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, and the Great Wall — all while weaving in historical insights, and little-known facts. Roland’s explanations were clear and engaging, and his ability to connect ancient history with modern China gave us a whole new appreciation for the city. What truly set Roland apart was his warmth and attention to detail. He took care of every arrangement, anticipated our needs, and even helped us discover excellent local food spots along the way.   My family just finished an amazing 21-day tour of China, and we couldn't be happier with Odynovo. From the very first contact with our outstanding travel agent Joy, who always responded to my many requests as quickly as possible and adjusted the itinerary several times to account for our specific interests, to the very last train station drop-off, it was a perfectly planned and executed trip. Odynovo selected a delightfully enriching variety of activities for our private group, everything from must-see historical site visits and walks through breathtaking landscapes to personalized intimate experiences with locals (two highlights were a cooking class in local lady's home in Xi'an and a private fan-making class in a real fan artist's beautiful workshop in Yangshuo). We truly got a feel for Chinese culture and the special flavors of each of the many regions we visited. In addition, the logistics of the trip were coordinated so seamlessly that we hardly noticed all the work that must have gone into it. We had a different guide waiting for us in every city (Rooney in Shanghai, Kurt in Beijing, Shannon in Xi'an, Henry in Chengdu, Michelle in Zhangjiajie, and Heidi in Guilin). That meant they had specialized knowledge only a local would have, about local customs, culture, restaurants, shopping, shortcuts in busy areas, and everything in between--much better than traveling with the same guide around the whole country. Our guides were ALL exceptional, spoke great English, and were true teachers of Chinese history and culture. More importantly, they were warm, kind, patient, and friendly people who were passionate about their work, loved sharing their cities with us, and went out of their way to make our experience in China special. We never had to worry about anything. They were all so professional, detail-oriented and personable that we fully trusted them and their leadership; it's extremely easy to travel with that kind of support, especially in a country where very few people speak English. The drivers selected for our trip were also superb, always punctual, always helpful and friendly, and every one of their cars was spacious and comfortable for our group of three. We loved discovering China with Odynovo and can't wait to return one day and explore even more of this wondrous country's regions. One piece of advice I would offer to future groups is to do as we did and pay a little extra for the upgrade to first class on the trains (it's not a huge price difference and the comfort level is much higher). Also, do NOT purchase the hot food on the trains... After trying and enjoying all sorts of foods all over the country, the only issue we had was with the hot train food on the very last train. Finally, we opted to book the hotels ourselves, and we are glad we did. I'm sure Odynovo would also pick great hotels, but this way we had a little more control over the experiences we would have in our down time after the day's planned activities. With a little research and some sifting through reviews and ratings, locations, pictures, etc, you can find great affordable hotels on China's main hotel reservation app and even some western apps. I would recommend this company without hesitation, especially the travel agent Joy and every guide chosen for our group. Just to wrap up, I'll mention one last example of their excellence... Before the trip, I told Joy one of our goals and priorities was to try local food at great local restaurants, where local people like to go, and not tourist traps. We were in China for three weeks, and at every stop our guides seemed to know that was our wish and made a point of taking us to eat at great local spots. A piece of information that could have easily been ignored or missed by another, less careful and attentive agent or company, became one of the themes of our trip and one of the reasons we have fallen in love with China.Show more

From the very start, David was outstanding: responsive, flexible, and truly caring. We made several revisions during planning, and he patiently customized everything to fit our needs. When our family got separated during an independent travel day, he immediately arranged a driver and guide to help my dad and grandpa reach the hotel safely — a level of support we’ll never forget. He was always available, calm, and proactive making the whole experience completely stress-free. Our guides were equally fantastic. Tracy in Beijing was the perfect start — cheerful, energetic, and incredibly patient with our elderly members. She ensured everyone was comfortable, adjusted plans on the go, and even helped with our train transfer. She’s also a wonderful photographer and shared great cultural insights. In Xi’an, Linda was kind, knowledgeable, and timed our Terracotta Warriors visit perfectly to avoid crowds. In Chengdu, Alan guided us through a long but memorable day visiting the Giant Panda Research Base and Leshan Giant Buddha, always helpful and calm. We also loved our time in Shanghai, with our guide Kenny where everything ran smoothly. If you’re looking for a customized, relaxed trip with family, toddlers, or elderly travelers, Odynovo is exceptional.   Fantastic trip to China with Odynovo! We typically plan our own trips but decided to try Odynovo for our first trip to China and couldn’t have been more pleased. First off Ander Zou did an amazing job creating the best customized itinerary that perfectly suited our specific requirements. He was very helpful throughout the whole process and was always available to assist with some additional requests we had during the trip. Our guide in Beijing Queena was awesome and went above and beyond to help us with some logistical items and went out of her way to help us. She then showed us such a good time in Beijing and gave us so much information on all the amazing sights we visited together. In Xi’An our guide Cathy was so genuine and proud to show us everything. The TerraCotta Warriors and lively streets of Xi’An were amazing to witness. In Chengdu, our guide Keely was awesome. She showed us such a great time visiting pandas, the giant Buddha and a great foodie tour! We enjoyed our time there very much. In Guilin/Yangshuo, Fei took us to the most beautiful areas that were breathtaking. Fei provided great information and knew all the best spots! Finally, in Shanghai our guide Alan was great showing us the modern and historical sides to Shanghai. Alan was very helpful, provided great information and also gave us some flexibility to explore a bit on our own. He was very funny, knowledgeable and just the right person to show us everything in Shanghai. All the drivers, hotels and guides were top notch. Our experience with Odynovo was more than I could have ever expected. We will definitely book with Odynovo again, can’t wait for the next trip!Show more

  The staff from Odynovo - Lucy from Sydney and Queenie from Bangkok - organised an amazing three week journey for us through Vietnam (North to South), Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand. Their professionalism and care in designing an itinerary with such fabulous guides and drivers taking care of us all the way, was truly special. It is true that ‘you are never alone’ with Odynovo. We were met at airports and ushered on to flights by the guides. Superb accommodation selections in five star hotels were organised, as well as thoughtful itineraries for special places to visit and activities to be enjoyed. The guides were smart, delightful people full of information about the history and details of the places we were visiting. Big big hugs and thankyou to Ngoc (Hanoi/Halong Bay), Mr Happy (Da Nang, Hoi An, Hue), Tino (HCM City, Chi Chu Tunnels, Cam Tho, My Tho), Pireau (Siem Reap/Angkor Wat), Loh (Luang Prabang), Ying (Chiang Mai), Puza (Baanchang Elephant Sanctuary Day Care) and Sidney (Bangkok, Ayutthaya), and all the wonderful drivers who kept us safe between adventures. We would never have seen or done all we did without the knowledge and organisation of Odynovo. Queenie was always available for any queries. We learnt so much about the history of all four countries especially about the involvement of America and the influence of Uncle Ho, the history of the Khmer people, the vital role the Mahuts play in caring of the elephants, the amazing floating markets, the crafts of the pottery village, the stunning temples, and the overwhelming friendliness and generosity of spirit of the local people, and many other fascinating aspects of everyday life and culture in SE Asia.   An excellent experience --- cannot praise the people of Odynovo sufficiently. Unexpected (but mush appreciated) airport assistanc; the giude handled everything concerning checking-in, and did not leave us until we were safely walking through the Departure gate. The drivers and guides were first-rate with private custom vans equipped with cold water and refreshing towels.Hotels uniformly excellent. Wade, our initial contact when we first inquired, was excellent. He 'stayed' with us throughout the tour and resonded immediatly to quick questions. More than in the physical sense (there never were any concerns in that light), having the same individual throughout the tour went a long way toward making us confident that we chose a first-class firm.
