I'm only giving two stars because the guide and driver were both very kind, but I found that the tour lacked free time. I chose this tour because of the abundance of free time, but I felt obligated to join in activities because no one else on the tour seemed to be independent. I felt very restricted and in addition to feeling restricted the accommodations (kandy in particular) were far away from town so I ended up stuck with the group a lot. If you like your hand held this is the tour for you, but if you're independent I'd recommend visiting Sri Lanka by yourself.Show more

The tour was perfect for my needs. Day in Kandy a bit of a muddle and wash out. Hotel to far out of town and no choice for food but the hotel and whilst ok not great. Prefer to Sri Lankan food. Amba estate amazing. Hotel J in Negombo and Unawatuna little more than a hostel Didn’t like at all. Same group as Jetwing and they are nice hotels. Guide very knowledgable and friendly. Payment information
- For any tour departing before April 30th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after April 30th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with G Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and G Adventures will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
