Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Tashkent

    You'll arrive at Tashkent International Airport where the team meets you. After that, it's a transfer to your hotel with check-in from 14:00 onward. The rest of the day is yours to settle in and recover from traveling.

  2. Day 2

    Tashkent City Tour

    Following breakfast, meet your guide at 09:00 for a tour of Tashkent. The day includes the Hazrati Imom Complex, then browsing through Chorsu Bazaar. You'll see Amir Temur's Square and Independent Square before stopping at the Museum of Applied Arts to look at traditional crafts and artistic pieces.

  3. Day 3

    Tashkent to Bukhara

    Early start after breakfast with a 07:00 transfer to the train station. The train departs at 08:00 and arrives in Bukhara at 12:15. Once your guide meets you, begin exploring the city's Islamic heritage. Ancient mausoleums, mosques, the fortress citadel, and madrasas fill your afternoon, including the 1417 Ulugbek Madrasa and Boloi Hauz Mosque.

  4. Day 4

    Bukhara to Samarkand

    After breakfast, your guide meets you at 09:00 to continue in Bukhara. Walk through the Labi Hauz Complex, check out the four-minaret Chor Minor, and visit Kukaldash Madrasa and the city's oldest mosque, Magoki Atoori. Later, head to Tim Abdulla Khan Trading Dome. By 15:30 you'll transfer to the station for a 16:21 train to Samarkand, arriving at 18:15.

  5. Day 5

    Samarkand

    Meet your guide at 09:00 after breakfast to see Timurid Dynasty sites in Samarkand. The day covers the Guri Amir Mausoleum, Registan Square with three madrasas, and the 1399 Bibi Khanum Mosque. You'll browse Siab Bazaar and explore the Shahi Zinda Complex, a noble cemetery with structures from the 11th to 20th centuries.

    Samarkand to Tashkent

    Your guide meets you at 10:00 for additional Samarkand sites. See the 1420s Ulugbek Observatory, a 3-story astronomical center, then visit the Mausoleum of Hodja Daniyar. Tour the Afrasiab Museum and walk through the Konigil paper factory, an 8th-century place still making traditional paper. By 16:00 head to the station for a 17:00 departure to Tashkent, arriving at 19:30.

    Tashkent to Fergana Valley

    After breakfast, travel toward Fergana Valley through mountains via the 2,268m Kamchik Pass in the Chatkal range. Stop in Kokand to meet your guide and visit the Palace of Khudoyar Khan and Juma Mosque. Continue to Rishtan for ceramics, including a pottery workshop at master Rustam Usmanov's house and a small museum. Finish in Fergana with hotel check-in.

    Margilan

    Meet your guide after breakfast for a day with Fergana Valley artisans. Head to Margilan to watch silk weavers at the Yodgarlik Silk Factory, then see different crafts at Madrassah Syed Ahmed Huja Ishan including silk dyeing, carpet weaving, and block printing. In the afternoon visit Fazletdin's house for bakhmal and scarves. Return to Tashkent for the evening.

    • For any tour departing before March 23rd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after March 23rd, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Silk Road Destinations. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 40 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
