Sydney
This morning you'll take a private guided tour of the Opera House, then head to Mrs Macquarie's Chair for those harbor views. After that, an insider from the Surf Bathers' Life Saving Club will show you around Bondi Beach. To finish the day, you'll get on a scenic cruise around Sydney Harbour to see the city's best spots from the water.

Sydney to Cairns
You'll fly to Cairns, which sits right at the edge of the Great Barrier Reef area. After you arrive and settle in, the rest of the day is open for you to wander around this tropical city and get a feel for the place.

- Day 5
Cairns
Early on you'll board a catamaran heading out to the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Once there, you can snorkel, hop on a semi-submersible to see underwater without getting wet, listen to a marine biologist talk about the reef, or just relax and take it all in. You'll head back to Cairns in the late afternoon.

Cairns to Uluru
You'll fly into the heart of the Outback to Uluru. During the day you'll walk around the base of this massive rock formation and explore caves that have ancient Aboriginal paintings. Stop by the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Center to learn about Anangu culture, then head to the Sunset Strip later for a champagne toast while watching the light change on the rock.

Tonight brings the Sounds of Silence dinner, which starts with a didgeridoo welcome, features a bush tucker menu with Australian wines, and includes a star talker explaining the southern night sky.

You'll fly into Melbourne and get settled in Australia's cultural heart. After checking in, head up to the Melbourne Skydeck for views from nearly 1,000 feet up. The observation deck sits at the southern hemisphere's highest point, so you'll get a proper sense of the city layout before making your way to the hotel for the evening.

- Day 10
Melbourne
This morning you'll join a guided tour hitting Parliament House, the Shrine of Remembrance, and Fitzroy Gardens with views across the Royal Botanic Gardens. The Victorian Arts Centre and other local architecture get covered too. After grabbing lunch at a local spot, you'll have free time to wander around on your own. If you're interested, there's an optional Penguin Parade excursion on Phillip Island later where you can watch little penguins return at sunset.

Check out the multicultural food scene at a local restaurant, browse Chapel or Brunswick Streets for shopping, or head out on an optional trip. The Yarra Valley wine region or a drive along the Great Ocean Road to see the Twelve Apostles are both possibilities if you want to get outside the city.

Queenstown to Milford Sound
You'll spend the full day traveling into Fiordland National Park for an excursion to Milford Sound. A cruise takes you through the fiord where massive rock walls rise thousands of feet, surrounded by rainforest, mountains, glaciers, and waterfalls. Keep an eye out for dolphins, seals, and penguins. You'll get back to Queenstown late in the evening.

Mount Cook to Rotorua
After traveling to Christchurch, you'll fly to Rotorua, which is the heart of Maori culture. Tonight you can choose between joining an optional dinner at a local New Zealand family's home or relaxing at the Polynesian Spa with hot springs and massage treatments.

- Day 17
Rotorua
You'll start at the National Kiwi Hatchery to see endangered kiwi birds at various stages of development, then head to the Agrodome to learn how New Zealand's sheep industry works. After that comes Te Puia, Rotorua's main thermal area. Tonight you'll have a traditional Hangi dinner with entertainment including storytelling, singing, and maybe even a chance to try the Haka yourself.

After that, you'll travel through Waikato's green farmland to Auckland. Tonight, enjoy wine and dinner at one of Auckland's top restaurants.
