We had recently gone on a 6 day safari with Viola tours and we couldnt have been more satisfied. From the booking stage and customisation to the actual tour, everything was handled without any problem. Violet was prompt on the email and answered any queries that came up. For the tour itself, we had Frank, an experienced guide whose knowledge of the parks, environment and topography was really great. His spotting ability was also amazing, and often, we were hard pressed to see even with binoculars, what he had spotted with the naked eye. Apart from the animals, his knowledge of birds was also fantastic. From a sparrow to the secretary bird, he knew them all. He also found where the migration was and ensured that we saw a part of it. The vehicle provided was also good, and we hardly felt the rough roads. Though we had a breakdown once, Frank attended to it promptly, and we were back on schedule in the least possible time. All in all, a great experience and I would whole heartedly recommend Viola Tours.

A viola tours is exceptional! Clift notes: Trip of a life time (and I've been to over 25 countries). I will return and will absolutely use Viola tours, Acacia tent camp and lodge, and will definitely request my guide Frank. Details: 5 day 4 nights. I organized it all through Violet who was amazing for planning exactly what I wanted at a very reasonable price. I said, these are the things that are important to me, please help. And she nailed it!! I had shopped around and spoke with other companies but she was more fair and reasonable with the price and the most helpful with what I wanted. She picked me up at the airport with welcome flowers! I Started in the Nygorogro crater and stayed at the rhino lodge. My guide Frank was a wealth of knowledge and very energetic and as excited as I was (which on a trip like this, it's better when those traveling with you are fun and enthusiastic--it really enhances the experience). He even spotted a black rhino on our way out! This place is amazing for wildlife and the views. The rhino lodge was a great experience with a wonderful big fire place hartebeast and gazelle right outside and a fun cabin feel. The fire stove in each room and skin burning hot water was a compliment to the balcony view and heavy blankets. The Acacia Tent camp was everything I wanted it to. Definitely a highlight. Glamping at its finest. Beautiful room, elephants passing by, full bar, great food and a taste of nature. Zebras and hyenas make noise all night. We had a bbq the last night with all the tables around the camp fire. There was a welcome song and dance with a suprise cake (again...the people.. work with Violet she is the best). Of course the Safari was amazing. We saw everything, and with any guide you probably will. However, what makes Frank different is how he treats his guests. He was happy to change the plans as I requested (let's skip lunch and keep driving, can we look for more hippos, what is everyone saying in swahili). He even sang the "circle of life" and "the lion sleeps tonight" with me! We did have them music, he even introduced me to some great african songs and different types of music. We laughed and he let me climb all over the jeep like a jungle gym to get the best views! He found a.pride of lions when there were no other vehicles around as well as spotted 2 hippos at night (some guides just follow the other jeeps..not this guy). We ate dinner together almost every night,.and as a solo traveler I enjoyed the company, but it is not mandatory if you do not wish it. He is a good soul, and was open to answering all of my questions and laughing and enjoying the trip as much as I was. He drove me to tons of tourist shops so I could price compare and advised me if something was over priced (loved the honesty). I will have him as a friend for many years. The maasai culture visit is quite interesting. I recommend it..there is more to their culture than what national geographic tells you. The Acacia lodge is 5 star all the way! Spa, pool views, service, I could live here...easily. The mix of fancy and dusty and nature and culture and adventure and friendship will stay with me forever. Call Violet, ask for the same trip as Charlotte and you will thank yourself later
