Frequently Asked Questions
What information do I need to provide once my booking is confirmed?
Once your reservation is confirmed, please provide the following for each traveler:
- Full name (as in passport)
- Passport number
- Date of birth
- Flight details for airport transfer coordination
What are the booking conditions I should be aware of?
When making a reservation request, Schultz Portugal requires:
- General passport details for all travelers
- Flight details for transfer arrangements
- Confirmation of child or accessibility needs, if applicable
- Agreement that incorrect information incurring extra costs will be charged to the client
Can my child travel with me on a regular tour?
Children under 3 years old are only allowed on private tours. For customized services catering to young children, please contact Schultz Portugal. Children aged 3 to 11 may participate in regular tours only when sharing a room with two adults (maximum one child per room). For children aged 1 to 2, the tour must be private, and cot requests are subject to availability.
Can wheelchair users join the tours?
Unfortunately, travelers using wheelchairs cannot be accommodated on regular small-group excursions. Schultz Portugal does offer accessible and tailored travel alternatives upon request.
Are pets allowed on Schultz Portugal tours?
No, pets are not allowed on any of our Small Group Tours.
Is transportation always provided by van?
Excursions are typically conducted in vans that seat up to 8 passengers. When necessary, transportation may be provided in a standard, comfortable car such as a Peugeot 3008, depending on group size and operational needs.
Is my tour conducted by a licensed guide?
Tours are accompanied by experienced drivers with local knowledge. However, these professionals are not certified tour guides.
Are arrival and departure transfers included?
Yes, airport transfers at the beginning and end of the tour are included. If you request an extra night pre- or post-tour, transfers will be adjusted accordingly.
Can I request a private departure for a regular tour?
Yes, private departures are available for a minimum of 4 travelers. Additional charges apply:
- €165 per person for tours up to 10 days
- €200 per person for tours over 10 days
Are the hotels listed guaranteed for my tour?
Schultz Portugal uses a range of preferred hotels by category. While we aim to accommodate guests in the listed properties, equivalent hotels within the same category may be used, especially during busy seasons or major events.
Can I travel solo on a Small Group Tour?
Yes, solo travelers are welcome. A minimum of 2 people is required to confirm a tour. Solo travelers should purchase the single (SGL) package and inquire about other confirmed participants. If no others are booked, a supplement may apply to confirm the tour.
In what languages are the tours available?
Tours are offered in English, Spanish, or Portuguese. Each tour is conducted exclusively in one language—there is no mixing of languages within the same group.
Can I request an extra night before or after my tour?
Yes, extra nights can be requested pre- or post-tour but are subject to availability at the time of booking.
