Excellent! Very good experience, Owen was great. We would not have done most of the activities if it hadn't been for the guidance and information given. Will definitely do something similar again.
9D Splendid Japan-Private 3 Star Hotels-Osaka to TokyoMy tour was good. Guide Kentaro was good, giving all the info, history, recommendations and suggestions and options. Thank you Kentaro.
8D Splendid Japan-Private 3 Star Hotels-Osaka to TokyoThe tour was great with a variety of places! There is a good balance of free time and scheduled activities, and great recommendations if you are ever looking for things to fill your time. It does hit most major points of southern Japan, but if you have the time to take the 14 day instead, I would recommend doing that as 10 days doesn't feel long enough!

Best time to visit Japan
- Summer 2026
Summer is festival season in Japan, and you'll find vibrant celebrations happening all across the country. From Kyoto's famous Gion Festival to smaller local summer festivals, there's always something exciting going on. Tokyo's food scene really comes alive during these months. You can enjoy incredibly fresh sashimi at the morning markets and explore diverse street food options once the sun goes down. The clear weather also means great access to the mountains if you want to hike Mount Fuji.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Autumn turns Japan into something truly special as the maple leaves change to deep reds and golds from September through November. Temple gardens and mountain valleys put on an incredible show, and you'll start seeing seasonal treats like matsutake mushrooms and roasted sweet potatoes at local markets. The temperatures are just right for walking around and taking photos. You won't need to worry about extreme heat or cold, making it perfect for spending long days exploring.

- Winter 2026 / 2027
Winter in Japan has a charm that catches a lot of visitors off guard. The crowds thin out after New Year, and you get to experience a quieter, more local side of the country. Snow-covered temples in Kyoto look almost unreal, and up in the Japanese Alps, towns like Takayama and Shirakawa-go turn into something straight out of a postcard. If you're into skiing or snowboarding, resorts in Nagano and Hokkaido offer some of the best powder snow in the world. One of the real highlights is soaking in an outdoor onsen with snow falling around you - it's the kind of thing you don't forget. The food is hearty too, with hot pots, fresh crab from the Sea of Japan, and warming bowls of ramen everywhere you turn.

Cherry blossom season transforms Japan into a pink wonderland from March through May as the flowers bloom from south to north. Tours are carefully timed so you can catch the peak blooms at famous temples, castle grounds and gardens. Many places light up the blossoms at night, which extends the magic well into the evening.
