Overall experience was good, but the pace of the tour was too packed and needs to be adjusted to suit the older groups. Hotels were decent, except for the Il prencipe which I would rate as a 2 star rather than the 4 listed. The lunches were always too rushed and not of high quality. Actual touring goes for 6 days and not 8 days as described. The other two days are the day you arrive and the day you leave!

Just returned home from the Highlights of Sicily Tour and loved every minute of it. Massimo and Graziana were always available if we had a question while on the tour. Their communication with us regarding our daily activities and guide information was incredible! We will definitely book with TourRadar again😁

The location were good and the hotels were nice it was a great way to be introduced to a lot of Italian cities in a short time. The food was just ok. It would have been better to have been told about the optional tours and that they had to be paid for in euros - no credit card. It would have been nice for the tour guide to tell us things we might want to do at least a few days ahead so we could purchase tickets. It was disappointing we were not able to go into st Marks in Venice as the guide had told us we just got in line how ever when we tried we were told we had to have tickets and they were soldout for the day. The just said they change things all the time, I would expect the guide to keep up with things like entry requirements. Also I had asked prior to the trip if I the pass to visit Venice was included and told it was not, so I purchased my own and once there was told it was included from staying in the hotel. Overall I felt communication was somewhat lacking and not always accurate.

Best time to visit Italy
- Summer 2026
Italy's long summer days give you plenty of time to see everything on your bucket list. You can explore Sicily's dramatic Etna volcano in the morning and cool off in Taormina's beaches by afternoon. Those classic Venice-Florence-Rome trips work beautifully in summer. You'll taste prosecco in Venice, learn to cook pasta in Florence, and take evening walks through Rome when the temperatures finally drop.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Harvest time brings perfect weather for food lovers traveling through Italy. In Sicily you can watch grapes and olives being processed right from the fields. The cities feel much more relaxed as the summer crowds disappear. Venice looks especially beautiful in fall when morning mist drifts over the lagoons. Your days can easily mix Florence's art galleries with wine tastings in Chianti.

- Winter 2026 / 2027
Italian cities show their true personality during winter when the crowds thin out and local life takes center stage. You can actually think and reflect at Rome's Forum and Colosseum without fighting through summer crowds. Lake Como becomes a peaceful retreat where you can take the funicular up to Brunate for snow-capped mountain views. Venice's misty canals and empty Piazza San Marco feel almost magical.
