All the guides were excellent. Hotel at Catania is very bad. (Cost 1 star in review) All meals & hotel rooms should include drinking water The coach air conditioning is not consistent Reaching time at Agrigento hotel is very late. Their pool & beach closes by 7, so it is a waste to spend money on a hotel & not being able to use the facilities. All hotel city taxes should be part of cost. All optional entrances should be mentioned in the itenary.

Beautiful itinerary if you want to see most of the Amalfi coast in a limited time. We didn’t feel rushed. The hotel we stayed at was cute, clean, and had decent meals. Our guide was super helpful and we felt like we didn’t miss out on much. Ravello was our favorite and extra day in Sorrento as an option is a must, so beautiful. We had an amazing time!

Really enjoyed our trip, saw lots of wonderful places. The included dinners in Sicily were an added bonus & meals were very good! Hotels were mostly very good although we didn’t like that the first & the last night hotel - Ergife Palace as it had no refrigerator or tea & coffee making facilities for such an expensive hotel & the position from Rome Termini not easy to get to from Rome requiring having to take a taxi to & from. We did like the pool & was able to use it on arrival before the tour started. Would definitely recommend this tour.

What our customers ask about Coach / Bus Tours & Trips in Italy
What are the key attractions covered on most bus tours in Italy?
Standard Italian coach tours include visits to the major cultural landmarks while balancing city exploration with countryside views. In Rome travelers visit the Vatican Museums Sistine Chapel and ancient ruins. Florence tours explore the Duomo and Accademia Gallery while Venice itineraries focus on St. Mark's Square and Basilica. Many tours extend to Sicily including Mount Etna. A TourRadar traveler notes: "The tour was very well organized with an excellent mix of attractions - from the Vatican Museums to small Tuscan villages. Our guide made sure we didn't miss any highlights." Accommodations are typically at central hotels like the Mercure Palermo Centro in Sicily or Hotel Raffaello in Florence.
What is the typical daily schedule like on a coach tour in Italy?
Daily schedules follow a consistent rhythm starting with breakfast between 7:00-7:30 AM and departures by 8:30 AM. Coaches travel between major cities like Rome Florence and Venice with stops every 2-3 hours at viewpoints or historic towns. Tours usually arrive at hotels like the Mercure Palermo Centro by early evening around 5:00-6:00 PM leaving time for dinner or independent exploration. A TourRadar traveler noted: "The pace was well-balanced though quite busy - we saw all the major highlights while still having some free time to explore on our own."
What's the best time of year to take a coach tour in Italy?
The high season runs April through October with peak crowds from May to September. Spring and fall months offer mild weather and fewer tourists. Summer brings heat particularly in southern regions like Sicily where temperatures reach 35°C (95°F). Coastal areas including the Amalfi Coast provide natural cooling from Mediterranean breezes.
How large are the groups on Italian coach tours?
Standard tours accommodate 20-45 passengers while premium options limit groups to 15-25 people. Modern coaches come equipped with air conditioning comfortable seats and WiFi connectivity. Omega Tours for example provides coaches with extra legroom for longer journeys between destinations.
What are the biggest time-saving advantages of traveling via coach tours in Italy?
These tours eliminate wait times through priority access at major sites and efficient routing. A TourRadar traveler shares: "Having skip-the-line entry to the Vatican Museums and Colosseum saved us hours of waiting time. Our guide at locations like Il Principe Hotel in Catania knew exactly when and where to take us." The tours handle all logistics including hotel check-ins letting travelers focus on the experience.
How do bus tours in Italy accommodate stops for sightseeing and relaxation?
Tours allocate 2-3 hours at major attractions like the Colosseum or St. Mark's Square with regular comfort breaks every few hours. Multiple-night stays at properties like Il Principe Hotel in Catania allow deeper local exploration. A TourRadar traveler notes: "Our driver knew all the best spots for photo stops and rest breaks making even the longer travel days comfortable and interesting."
How much free time do I have to explore independently on a coach tour in Italy?
The schedule typically allows 2-3 hours of independent time in major cities during afternoons or evenings after guided morning tours. A TourRadar traveler shares: "The tour offered a perfect mix - having guided tours in the morning left us with free afternoons to explore on our own or join optional excursions. We had enough time to wander Venice's canals and enjoy dinner at local trattorias." Certain sites like the Vatican require more structured visits due to timed entry requirements.
