The air-conditioned cruise ships work particularly well in summer - you'll explore temples early, then retreat to the comfort of the boat while sailing to the next stop. Several tours include evening activities like the Luxor Temple light show and also traditional music performances when temperatures are more comfortable.

The autumn months from September through November hit a sweet spot - the heat has eased but winter crowds haven't arrived. Our fall tours often include extended time in places that can be too hot in summer, like the Valley of the Kings and Abu Simbel.
