We spent wonderful days in Egypt. Our guides, Suhaila and Ahmed, did an excellent job conveying the charm and deep cultural background of the country, and sweetened it with anecdotes. The trip planning, as far as it was under the control of Holidays in Egypt, was wonderful. But Egypt always has a surprise in store. So one flight left earlier than scheduled, and we were put up in a different hotel, which was also first-class. We warmly recommend this trip to anyone interested in Egypt who is fit for travel.
Historic Horizons – Egypt 8 Days (5-Star)George was our amazing tour guide. He was not only knowledgeable and entertaining, he tailored the tour to our interests. He went above and beyond to accommodate us. I hurt my knee before the trip but George made sure I was able to see everything anyway, get in and out of the van safely, and got me hotel rooms that were easier for me to use. He even found glue at 2 in the morning for another tour member who had broken his glasses! I would love to take another tour of Egypt with George as my guide!
Nile Jewel - 5 Star CruiseExcellent selection of Egypt's breathtaking archaeological sites. Although there is a little time for relaxation due to the number of different temples and shrines we visited, the operators made sure we enjoyed as much comfort as possible. The room was more than decent and our meals were very good with a wide range of foods to choose from. The tour was well organised and the schedule was followed. We were given the opportunity to make adjustments and upgrade our comfort along the way. We were also able to experience the astonishing temple of Dendera which we didn't expect to manage in such a tight itinerary thanks to our guide. We felt very well looked after in a journey we will remember for a lifetime

The autumn months from September through November hit a sweet spot - the heat has eased but winter crowds haven't arrived. Our fall tours often include extended time in places that can be too hot in summer, like the Valley of the Kings and Abu Simbel. Many combine a traditional felucca sailing with a luxury cruise ship portion, giving you different perspectives on the Nile. The October departures work especially well for photography - you get beautiful golden light at the temples without intense shadows. Several tours include desert camping experiences which are much more comfortable in the moderate fall temperatures, and also longer stays in Aswan where you can really explore the local markets and culture.
