Christmas & New Year Tours in Europe

The tour company Choose Balkans was always responsive throughout the booking process and during the tour. Sirma was our main contact and she was delightful to deal with. Our tour guide, Eraldo, was fantastic. He was easy to get along with, informative, honest, and a man with a lot of integrity. We were always well looked after, and you know you will be in safe hands if he was your tour guide. The only downside was, we upgraded to 4-star hotels, but one hotel in capital city was 3-star at best and had moulds and was dirty, so Sirma moved us to a proper 4-star hotel for the next night. The final night stay at Mostar was a 3-star property - they did not even service our room properly and left the bathroom floor wet, shower drain full of hair, and bedroom carpet just generally dirty with the bottom of our indoor slippers going black. Also at Ohird, the hotel there was also only 3-star. At The Adler Hotel, Prizren, that was also 3-star, it was so poorly maintained that the hairdryer was hanging off the wall by the live wire over the sink, the floor skirting board was dislodged from the wall with nails exposed, they did not service our room and blamed us for not giving them permission to enter the room, but another fellow traveller got her room serviced, without permission given! I would recommend the tour and our excellent tour guide, Eraldo, but the hotel upgrade to 4-star by Choose Balkans need more improvements.

This was a wonderful tour through a part of the world I didn't know much about. This was also my first multi-day guided tour. My parents signed up for Sofia to Istanbul Discovery and I decided to join them. Enes was a fantastic guide. He provided valuable insight into the places we visited and the cultural similarities and differences between them. He was energetic yet grounded, flexible where he could be, and had a great sense of humor. This tour covers a lot of ground, and each person in our group had a different "favorite" location. I admit I was sad to part ways with Enes and our driver when we flew to Istanbul. Our group was small and quickly became a family. However, the tour guide we were connected with in Turkey was also fantastic, and Enes checked in with us the whole time we were there. My parents and I extended our stay in Istanbul by a few days, and our guide gave us great recommendations for additional places to visit. I'd highly recommend a tour with Ajdinis. It's clear that they care a lot about their customers' experiences. Enes and the Ajdinis team made us feel safe the entire time. Their tours are thoughtful put together, and they're eager and open to feedback. I'm grateful for the experience exploring with my parents. This was a special trip I'll remember for the rest of my life. Thank you!
