Overall, the tour was excellent and covered all the sights mentioned, except the 15 min stop at Crowfoot Glacier didnt happen. However, it was run efficiently and well organised. Majority were Asians, but the bilingual guides were sufficiently proficient, able to manage well the different groups that joined in to fill the tour bus each day. Gratuities at CAD$15 per day can be prepaid upon booking. Hotel were good and comfortable, and close to town, making it easy to explore on our own. The 4 in 1 optional excursion package that includes Gondola, Maligne Lake Cruise, etc is highly recommended!

We had an excellent trip with Lorenzo and Gerardo from Empire vacations. We booked through tourradar and it was the best decision. Everything was very well communicated and well managed via tourradar and Empire vacations both. Lorenzo was a friendly and enthusiastic tour guide and Gerardo was an excellent driver and he was friendly too! It gave us unforgettable life experience! Thank you so much....

Our first Bindlestiff tour was an absolute blast! Our tour guide, Joe, was incredible. He was super energetic and passionate about the places we visited... and a great driver. You could tell he loved his job as a guide. The tour took us on an incredible adventure to Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Arches, Dead Horse Point State Park, Gooseneck State Park, Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and Grand Canyon. Antelope Canyon was an extra fee, but it was definitely one of the highlights. I suggest Bindlestiff include Antelope Canyon and make the Monument Valley Jeep ride optional. It was a bit dusty, and we could have taken great photos from the parking lot. We were lucky enough to have a hotel to stay in. I can't imagine camping in this setting unless you're an experienced camper. All the hotels/motels were great, except for Ruby's Inn. That motel could use some serious updating. Joe made the best lunches every day for our group of 12... and an amazing charcuterie board for a sunset evening at Dead Horse State Park. We'll definitely consider taking another Bindlestiff tour.

Best tour companies for North America tours
Both companies get consistently positive feedback from travelers who've actually taken their tours. Intrepid's Canadian Rockies trips stand out thanks to group leaders like Evan, who our customers say really knows his stuff and makes every day fun and interesting. He's especially good at handling all the little details that make a big difference when you're exploring mountain trails, glacial lakes and wildlife areas. Over in the American Southwest, Bindlestiff Tours has built quite a reputation with guides like Khriss and Rachel leading the way. Our travelers mention how well-organized everything is, from the comfortable camping setups to excellent meals in the outdoors. Khriss in particular gets mentioned a lot - customers love how he shares in-depth knowledge about the geology, history and nature while making sure everyone's having a good time, comfortable and engaged throughout the journey. The personal touch from these guides really shows in the reviews - they're not just showing you around, they're making sure you understand and connect with these remarkable places. Whether it's Evan explaining the formation of the Rockies or Khriss pointing out ancient petroglyphs in the desert, they bring these landscapes to life.
Best places to start your North America tour
Las Vegas serves as the main gateway with 18 of our travelers starting there, while Calgary sees 14 departures, Vancouver handles 13, and Anchorage and also Los Angeles welcome 9 and 8 departures respectively. Our booking patterns show you should lock in your spot about 112 days before departure - just under 4 months ahead. This timing really matters for summer trips to national parks and the Canadian Rockies since spaces get snapped up fast. Our regular travelers suggest booking even earlier for July and August, especially if you want to stay at the national park lodges. Las Vegas morning departures give you great desert views right from the start, while Calgary puts you right at the foot of the Rockies. Many people add extra days in the cities, with Vancouver being particularly popular for its food scene and summer festivals.
