The tour overall was very good, well organised, and covered a lot of distance. The Tour director made the tour very informative, gave very clear information each day about what to expect. The driver was excellent, very skilled and safe. You get to see a lot of the Rockies, though you are travelling on a coach, some of this is in passing. There are plenty of stops for bathroom breaks, stretching your feet, getting a drink . The Hotels were of a very good standard, clean and comfortable. I do think a breakfast could possibly be included in the price, as there are no meals included, you need to budget for this each day. There are plenty of places to be able to get food of course. I would recommend the tour overall.
The Canadian RockiesA good choice for us. I'm thinking you will see more on (and from) a coach tour,than say the train or if you choose to self drive. Gavin (our coach driver) had was friendly and had good local knowledge and was willing to enhance each day with a little extra beautiful experience. The nightly accommodation were of good standard, and breakfast was included as well as one lunch. Being on an organised coach tour means that you will get a lot closer to the attraction when the driver has to find a parking spot (compared to visitors in cars and RV's), which is very handy. We felt that Discover Canada people do what they do very professionally
Rockies Western Canada Iconic Sites: 8-Day TourThis is the perfect tour for a taste of each of the unique locations. Being a Senior, I am not interested in long, full day hikes. You spend a few hours at each location with enough time to pick a hike from a nice selection of trails. The landscape on the drive was breathtaking with every turn something different. Our guide Kaitlyn was a wealth of information. Her love of the area and enthusiasm came through. The lunches they provide were very good even excellent choices for my gluten free friend. I took this tour six years go and loved it so much I wanted to do it again with my grandson who loved it too!
