North America Tours for Solo Travelers
Our solo travelers really connect with the Canadian Rockies camping tours - they're perfect for mixing independence with group activities. The 14-day routes take you through Jasper, Banff and Vancouver Island, where you can switch between group hikes, canoeing and exploring towns at your own pace. The small groups naturally come together while setting up camp and sharing stories by the fire. The Southwest parks are another top pick for solo guests, mainly because our guides create such a welcoming atmosphere. You'll join other travelers to wade through Zion's Narrows, discover Bryce Canyon's unique rock formations and take guided 4x4 trips into Monument Valley. Our solo customers often mention how comfortable they feel, whether they're joining group activities or taking quiet time with their camera.

What people love about touring North America solo
- Canadian Rockies: National Parks Westbound
Loved the tour and our guide was awesome very well organised and fun, adaptive and flexible. Great trip overall with lots of activities. Would be great to have a night in Victoria in a hostel rather than campground as it was too far from the city. Personally for me I would prefer more freedom on what to eat as I am quite picky and would love to have more opportunity to eat out rather than being restricted by tight food budget of a campground, also I thought I would rather spend more time doing things than cooking/washing and just pick up my own lunch on the go but thats a personal preference. Would also be great to see similar tours running for people looking for more challenging hiking. My suggestion would be to run a group once a month with the same program but substituting most hikes with moderate/difficult ones rather than super relaxed walking and put fitness level as a requirement for the trip. It seems there is a gap on the market between hardcore expiditions with heavy backpacks and chilled tours requiring below average level of fitness.
- Yellowstone & Rocky Mountain Explorer
No Words Can Adequately Describe...We recently went on the 7 day Southwest tour followed by the 7 day Yellowstone tour. We chose the camping option. All our expectations were exceeded. The itinerary was full on, allowing us to see everything on offer and more. A huge thank you to Chris Patrick, our guide. He kept everyone engaged, entertained, watered and fed. No request or concerns went unanswered. He's an asset to the Bindlestiff team and we would DEFINITELY recommend you do these trips. Being able to stay right in the National Parks was fantastic.
- Explore the Canadian Rockies in 5 Days: Banff, Jasper & Yoho National Parks Tour
Calgary Tours has a very solid organizational logistics plan in place making sure that each day, the right people are on the right bus. Not sure how they do it, but it was amazing. I expected that Calgary Tours would have set us up at some low rated hotels. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotels we stayed at were great. One tour guide that stands out is Allen. He went out of his way to ensure that our last night stay in Calgary was ready to go. His bilingual language skills in both English and Chinese assured that his passengers received a very clear understanding of the important places we visited. Allen is a great asset to Calgary Tours.
