Footsteps Of The Pharaohs - Included Internal FlightsMe and my friend booked our second TourRadar trip with Ethica Holiday for a 7-day tour through Egypt. We had such a great first experience with them in India that we trusted them again. The pyramids tour was excellent, and the 3-day Nile cruise was truly phenomenal — comfortable, beautiful, and the tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. The main sights and experiences were incredible, and we really enjoyed most of the trip. A few things to be aware of though: The overnight train ride is a full 12 hours on a local train — it doesn’t mention the length clearly in the description. It’s not very comfortable or secure, so we ended up booking our own flight back to Cairo on day 6 instead. When we did that, they didn’t provide a day room for our last day even though it was a 7-day package. Communication after pickup was also difficult — when our driver didn’t show up one morning, we struggled to reach anyone directly and had to rely on numbers from other travelers. Overall it’s a good tour with great guides and amazing sights, just be prepared for some extra costs on optional activities and read the fine print carefully, especially around transportation and what’s included on the last day. We still had a wonderful time in Egypt!
Adventure Ancient Egypt - 7 DayMy husband and I just returned from Agatha Christie 12 day tour of Egypt ,we joined a small group of 6 traveller in total . We booked this from Australia and could not have been happier. We went from Abu Simbel in the south, Aswan, enjoyed the luxurious Nile cruise on ms Nile acamar (food and staff were amazing), Luxor, Karnak, Edfu, several days in Cairo (make sure you go to the step pyramids in Saquara and the Red and Bent Pyramids too)Our guides ahmed (in Aswan and NIle cruise) and mona (in Cairo ) were exeptional. All drivers were excellent but our favourite was tony in Cairo, We appreciated the bottles of water during all the tour activities . All of the hotels were lovely. There is lot of security in Egypt with many check points, scans and pat downs. Initially it may be a little confronting however I felt very safe at all times. If you go to the shops/bazaars the shop keeper will hassle you but just be polite and keep walking. The Egyptian people are genuinely friendly and helpful and the country and sites are mindblowing. Australia does not have a tipping or bargaining culture so we found this a little awkward at times. All up an amazing tour that went smoothly and was well organised. We loved Egypt and would thoroughly recommend this trip .Thanks
