This was a great tour, well organized and lots of fun. Danae was very helpful over email with pre-trip planning and answering all questions promptly. Stavros was a great tour guide - you could tell he loved being out in the mountains and his knowledge of the area was vast. The small group size allowed for customization of the itinerary based on weather and personal preferences. We stayed at some wonderful mountain village guesthouses with fantastic home-cooked meals and warm Greek hospitality. The Vikos Gorge in the Zagori region of NW Greece is a hidden gem to explore, which you won't find in most guide books. Meteora was breathtaking. If you are looking for an active small group tour that is off the beaten path, away from throngs of tourists, this is the tour for you.

Weather conditions in Scotland's Highlands are particularly good for outdoor activities during May and September making it ideal for hiking the Cliffs of Moher or kayaking. The temperatures are moderate and crowds are smaller during these shoulder months. As one TourRadar traveler mentioned about their summer Adventure experience: "The weather was perfect not what we expected! The tour was varied and several times our guide stopped to allow us to see something unexpected such as training an European Eagle Owl."
What are the must-do Adventure activities in Europe?
Key experiences include sea kayaking at the underwater ruins of Kekova in Turkey and hiking Ireland's Cliffs of Moher. The Great Western Greenway offers excellent e-biking while Iceland's glaciers provide unique exploration opportunities. The Interlaken region in Switzerland stands out for its mountain activities. Convenient bases like Club Phellos Hotel in Kas or Dunroamin B&B in Stornoway put you close to the action. As one TourRadar traveler shared: "Highlights were the snorkelling trip sea kayaking over ruins and making other friends on the adventure activities."

The accommodations blend comfortable 3-4 star hotels with location-specific properties. The Nordic Capitals tour showcases this mix with stays at Park Inn Meriton Conference & Spa Hotel in Tallinn and Scandic Grand Marina in Helsinki. As one TourRadar traveler mentioned: "The accommodations were well-chosen for both comfort and location - especially loved the mountain lodge in Switzerland."
What types of Adventure activities can I expect on a European tour?
Activities span from scaling Mount Olympus to kayaking Dingle Bay and cycling through Killarney National Park. A TourRadar traveler mentioned "The hiking biking and kayaking activities kept us moving while exploring this beautiful region offering a perfect mix of adventure and cultural experiences."
How physically demanding are Adventure tours in Europe?
Physical requirements vary by tour. The Albanian Alps tour includes a significant 17km trek with 1072 meters elevation gain while São Miguel Active Experience offers more flexible options. Most itineraries combine hiking cycling and water activities. Hotel Panorama Prague provides a comfortable rest between activities.
