Dear G Adventures Team, I would like to sincerely thank you for the amazing experience I had on the “Basic Central America: Guatemala to Costa Rica (CGGS)” tour. Alhamdulillah, the trip was truly enjoyable, well organized, and full of unforgettable moments. First of all, I would especially like to recognize our CEO, Chalo. He was genuinely outstanding throughout the entire journey — very supportive, friendly, patient, and professional. He truly made the experience much more enjoyable for everyone. Personally, I enjoy joking around, moving quickly, and being energetic during trips, and he handled that wonderfully with a great attitude and understanding. I honestly felt that our cultures and personalities connected very naturally, which made the journey even better. He was not only a guide, but truly an excellent companion throughout the trip. The itinerary itself was excellent overall, and I highly recommend this tour. However, I would like to suggest a few improvements that I believe could make the experience even better for future travelers: 1. Adding one extra day in Ometepe Island (Nicaragua): Ometepe was one of the absolute highlights of the trip. The volcano and nature there were incredible, but unfortunately the schedule did not allow enough time for us to fully experience or hike the volcano properly. An extra day there would significantly improve the experience. 2. Providing clearer minimum and maximum pricing for optional activities: During the trip, some optional activities ended up costing more than expected, especially because in some cases I was the only participant, which increased the final price. At times I joined activities that were simpler than expected just to avoid wasting the day. For example, the coffee tour cost me USD 57 instead of the advertised USD 40. It would be very helpful for travelers if there were clearer explanations regarding possible price variations depending on group size. 3. Offering a private room option: I would strongly appreciate having an optional private room upgrade available on future trips. While I understand the basic/shared style of the tour, having the choice would improve comfort for many travelers. Finally, I would like to mention that some travelers in the group seemed not to fully understand the nature and style of the program before joining. At times this affected the overall group dynamic and reduced some of the enjoyment for others. Perhaps providing clearer expectations before departure could help future travelers better understand the trip style and atmosphere. Overall, this was truly a fantastic experience, and I sincerely appreciate the effort your team and especially Chalo put into making it memorable. Thank you once again, and I look forward to traveling with G Adventures again in the future. Best regards, Hassan

This tour exceeded my expectations in every way. I joined without any specific expectations, and it turned into a truly meaningful and memorable experience. The itinerary was well designed, offering a great balance between nature, culture, adventure, and downtime, allowing us to experience Central America in a deep and authentic way rather than just rushing from place to place. Everything was very well organized, from transportation and accommodations to daily activities and communication. Our group lead, Aurora, played a key role in making this happen. She managed logistics smoothly, communicated clearly, and handled any changes or challenges with calm professionalism. What truly set this tour apart was the atmosphere Aurora created. The experience felt inclusive, supportive, and thoughtfully paced, making it easy to connect both with the places we visited and with the group. Her warmth, knowledge, and personal approach brought the region to life and made the journey feel human and meaningful rather than transactional. I learned a lot — not just about Central America, but also about myself — and genuinely enjoyed sharing this journey with such a great group. I would absolutely recommend this tour, especially with Aurora as the group lead. It’s the kind of experience that stays with you long after it ends.
