Just finished then19 day Odyssey Tour covering North & South Islands, and it was unbelievable!! So much variety on both islands with loads to see and do. Plenty of good optional extras too. A bit more travelling on the South Island but this is a lot bigger and less inhabited so is to be expected. The stunning scenery made up for this though. Overall, our accommodation was very comfortable. The hotels we stayed at were very high standard with excellent food. Worth paying extra for the comfort. We had an excellent guide, Leon, who made itbeven more enjoyable. Great value for money and I've already recommended it.
19-Day New Zealand Odyssey: The Premier New Zealand North & South Island Journey (Auckland Start)Thank you for a wonderful trip it encompassed adventure, outdoor fun, and quiet relaxing times in the hot springs of Rotorua. Our tour guide Natalie (Nat) for the first half of the tour was exceptional. I have been on many tours, and I have to say Nat was the absolute best tour guide I have ever had. She was kind, respectful, knowledgeable, fun, gave clear instructions, forward planned, even gave us a list of things that we might have needed to bring for the day to Rotorua. The tour company is fortunate to have her. I loved that the tour mixed up adventure activities, and being in the wilderness (Blue Duck Station). I also loved that I was provided with information about the Māori people of NZ, and both Nat and Leon (second tour guide) were both passionate about NZ and the Māori culture and people. 9-Day North Island Icons: The Essential North Island New Zealand Journey (Auckland to Wellington)Very good driver/guide. Some of the option tours are not that good, like driving 10 hours round trip to take a 45 minutes boat ride on the lake that nothing look impressive.
