Very reasonable priced tour. Car plus b&b for $1,100 for 9 days tour. Beauty Lanka was very well organised and our tour guide Indra was very helpful and knowledgeable and guided us well through the intricacies of Sri Lanka. The tour is very flexible and although there is a suggested itinerary, within reason it can be adapted to give say an extra half day at Ella. The trips out are varied, but perhaps just do one safari at Yala. Overall, highly recommended.

This tour provided us with a lot of historical knowledge along with beautiful landscapes/sights to see. Although given the recent floods, pretty much all areas of Sri Lanka are safe to travel. Even though it was a fast paced holiday, there were still opportunities to relax such as enjoying a late dinner or strolling along the streets.

Our 14-day honeymoon in Sri Lanka with Mango Vacations was incredible. What really stood out was their exceptional flexibility — adjusting routes, accommodation, and plans in real time based on weather and road conditions, and ensuring everything ran smoothly despite flooding. Impressively, the alternative bookings ended up being just as amazing. Our guide Thilina and driver Pavi were both professional, respectful, and incredibly accommodating, always going above and beyond to make our trip comfortable and stress-free. Highlights included Sigiriya Rock and the elephant and Yala safaris. As Buddhists, we also deeply appreciated Sri Lanka’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage, especially in places like Anuradhapura. Highly recommend Mango Vacations for a truly personalised and well-managed Sri Lanka experience.

Best tour companies for Sri Lanka tours
Based on my analysis of Sri Lankan tour operators, One Life Adventures and Capital Lanka Tours come out as your best options. Travelers consistently mention One Life's guide Joe by name - he's got a knack for making everyone feel comfortable while sharing deep local knowledge. Their transport is reliable and the itineraries hit all the right spots without feeling rushed. Capital Lanka Tours gets similar praise, particularly for guides Shantha and Buddhika who adapt plans on the fly and know how to navigate Sri Lankan roads safely. Feel Free Travel also does great work with their personal touch, home-cooked meals and those little surprise activities they weave into trips. I should mention that BH Sri Lanka Tours has had some issues lately - mainly around guides sometimes getting details mixed up and itineraries not quite matching what was promised. As for food-focused trips, Intrepid's Real Food Adventure lets you really dig into Sri Lankan cuisine, though some travelers felt the price tag was a bit steep for what you get. Between these options, I'd lean toward One Life Adventures or Capital Lanka if you want solid organization and experienced guides who know their stuff. Both companies have built up quite a following among our travelers who keep coming back and recommending them to friends.

Summer tours shift focus to Sri Lanka's calmer eastern waters and prime wildlife areas. The best routes run 10-14 days, linking cultural sites with excellent wildlife watching in Yala National Park where leopards appear more frequently from May through September. Our guests really value the accommodation mix - you might stay in luxury tents near the parks, heritage hotels in the hills and also beachside properties in places like Trincomalee. These summer journeys include practical experiences like village cooking sessions, tea picking in the highlands and early safari drives when animals are most active.
