Experiencing the canyons was on our "bucket list." Daunted by the tasks of arranging travel, driving unknown routes, securing ticketing, accommodations and everything else necessary, we kept putting this adventure off. We were leery of "packaged deals" and being grouped with travel companions we had never met before! When we saw the BINDLESTIFF 7-day southwest canyon small group tour, it seemed too good to be true, but we decided to take a chance in the hopes of making some everlasting memories. From pickup on Day 1 to our group's heartfelt goodbyes on Day 7, our guide "Sam" devoted himself to ensuring we all had a spectacular experience. He transported us safely, prearranged ticketed entries, preregistered our lodging (so individual check-in/out was not required), shopped daily for our picnic lunch items, and kept us well informed as we traveled to each new destination. His knowledge, sense of humor, and playlists made our time in the van pass easily. We made 11 new friends (from the USA, Australia, Switzerland, and Belgium) in just seven days, and our group toured together like family. This was our first multiday small group tour, and I am pleased to say it will not be our last!

Our guides, Jeremy and Laurie were amazing… because we arrived a couple of days after the Jasper fires they worked hard the whole time to adapt the plans to avoid smoke and fires around us. Their cooking was on another level - very healthy and we even had a fondue one day, up in the mountains!
9 Day Rockies Hiking and Camping TourI joined the Bindlestiff 7‑Day Southwest Highlights tour as a hotel guest, and I wasn’t sure how it would feel with both campers and hotel guests in the group. Spencer balanced everything so naturally that the whole week felt easy, welcoming, and surprisingly meaningful. His calm organization — driving, planning, meals, and hotel logistics — made each day unfold smoothly. Knowing he’s completed the Pacific Crest Trail, one of the Mexico‑to‑Canada thru‑hikes, gave me real confidence. His connection to these landscapes is lived, and you can feel that in the way he shares them. The parks were breathtaking, but what stayed with me was the thoughtful pace, the care he brought to the experience, and those quiet moments that made me pause and breathe in the vastness around me. It was restorative in a way I didn’t expect. If you’re considering this trip, go. You’ll carry the feeling of it long after you’re home.
