31-Day Southeast Asia Adventure: Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and CambodiaThis tour was a wonderful, immersive experience of Indochina (Vietnam, Cambodia and Loas) and Bangkok, Thailand. The itinerary was thoughtfully constructed to highlight various aspects of culture, history, local cuisine, natural beauty and daily life in those countries. Daily tours were operated smoothly for the most part while travelling by plane, by boats along the major rivers, by cars, train and even tuk tuks. Those tours and free time enable me to experience hustles and bustles, congested traffic of major cities and monuments, various ancient temples including Angkor Wat, exotic scenery of Ha Long Bay, and quaint, beautiful small towns. My favorite memories varied for different destinations, but some surprises were in charming small towns such as Hoi An, Vietnam and Luang Prabang, Laos. I’ll remember the beautiful sceneries, ancient temples and golden stupas, sprawling night markets with fresh, tasty and inexpensive local cuisines as well as warm, friendly locals. There were a few glitches by some local tour operators and hotels (by Western norms), but Ha Nguyen from Bravo Indochina was responsive day and night to help smooth out some issues. Overall, it was wonderful to experience all these destinations and cultural elements in a single trip!
