10 Day Indochina Itinerary, incl. Ho Chi Minh City and Luang Prabang
Seven days of history and culture span Vietnam and Cambodia, from Cu Chi Tunnels to Angkor temples. The War Remnants Museum, Mekong Delta cruise, and Angkor Thom exploration are highlighted. Package includes comfortable hotels, 9 breakfasts, 4 lunches, and expert local guides.

- Days 1-3
Ho Chi Minh City & Mekong Delta, Vietnam
Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and spend your first evening getting settled. Head to the Mekong Delta on day two for a boat trip to My Tho. One traveler shared: "The paddle-boat ride through narrow canals gave us amazing insights into local cottage industries, especially the coconut candy making." On day three visit the Cu Chi Tunnels first thing to avoid the midday heat. Follow this with city stops at the War Remnants Museum and Notre Dame Cathedral.

- Days 4-6
Siem Reap & Angkor Temples, Cambodia
The bus journey from Ho Chi Minh to Siem Reap takes 13 hours. Pack plenty of snacks and water since food stops are limited. You'll want to sit in the middle of the bus for a smoother ride. Use day 5 to explore Siem Reap's markets or book optional activities. Spend day 6 exploring the incredible Angkor temple complex. One TourRadar reviewer noted: "All three of our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and knew all the shortcuts through the sights." Get to Angkor Wat before sunrise to beat the crowds and heat.

- Days 7-10
Luang Prabang, Laos
Take a flight to Luang Prabang which takes about 1 hour 45 minutes. Your time here includes visits to Kuang Si waterfall and Pak Ou Caves on days 8-9. If you want to see the alms-giving ceremony get up before 5:30 AM and remember to dress appropriately with covered shoulders and knees. A traveler suggested: "The morning market visit right after alms-giving offers a fascinating glimpse into local life - don't miss it." Spend your last full day at the Royal Palace Museum and climb Mount Phousi for sunset. The climb is 328 steps so bring water.

10 Days in Cambodia, incl. Siem Reap and Phnom Penh
Eight cities across Cambodia and Vietnam unfold over 10 days, from Ho Chi Minh's Ben Thanh Market to Bangkok. Highlights include Phnom Penh's S21 Museum, Koh Rong's beaches, Sambor Prei Kuk homestay, and sunrise at UNESCO-listed Angkor Wat temple complex, plus a Mekong River sunset cruise.

- Day 1
Ho Chi Minh City
Start in Vietnam's busy southern hub. Visit Ben Thanh Market before 9 AM to avoid tourist crowds and enjoy local breakfast and shopping. One traveler mentions: "The market's energy is electric - try the chao tom (sugar cane shrimp) from the food stalls near the east entrance." Fill your afternoon exploring the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace.

- Days 2-3
Phnom Penh
Take the morning bus to Cambodia's capital. The journey takes 6-7 hours including border crossing. Pick a seat on the right side of the bus for nice views of the Mekong Delta. Visit the S21 Museum and Killing Fields when you arrive. Take a Mekong River cruise at sunset. A TourRadar reviewer notes: "The perspective of the Royal Palace from the water at golden hour is unforgettable." Book accommodation near the riverside for easy access to rooftop bars and restaurants.

- Days 4-5
Koh Rong
Take a morning speedboat to this island paradise. The trip takes about 2.5 hours. Look for beach bungalows on the western side for the best beaches. A helpful tip from a traveler: "Pack reef-safe sunscreen and water shoes - the coral can be sharp when swimming." Spend your days swimming, hiking to waterfalls, or relaxing on the beaches. Visit Nest Beach Club for sunset drinks.

- Day 6
Sambor Prei Kuk
Experience rural Cambodia through an Isanborei community homestay. Visit ancient temple ruins from the 6th century. One reviewer shares: "Having dinner with our host family while watching sunset over the rice fields was the highlight of our trip." Bring modest clothing as this is a conservative area.

- Days 7-8
Siem Reap & Angkor Wat
Get to Angkor Wat by 5 AM for sunrise. Take a tuk-tuk through the complex. Spend extra time at Ta Prohm with its tree-covered ruins and Bayon with its carved faces. Buy a two-day pass and split your temple visits to avoid getting tired. Stay near the Old Market for easy access to Pub Street nightlife.

- Days 9-10
Bangkok
10 Days in Indochina, incl. Siem Reap and Hanoi
Cultural riches of Cambodia and Vietnam shine throughout this 10-day tour. The ancient Angkor temples, Hanoi's Old Quarter, and Halong Bay offer distinct perspectives. Guests stay at premium Tara Angkor and cruise aboard La Pandora, while expert guides share insights at UNESCO sites, villages, and markets.

- Days 1-3
Siem Reap, Cambodia
Begin your adventure in Siem Reap, where ancient temples await. Head to Angkor Wat early for sunrise - many visitors say it's an unforgettable experience. Your first morning takes you to Banteay Srei temple, which showcases some of the most detailed stone carvings you'll see. Visit the temples during early morning hours to avoid peak heat. Spend your second day exploring the main Angkor Wat complex. Wear sturdy shoes with good grip since temple steps can be tricky. On day 3, visit Ta Prohm, where nature and architecture create an incredible sight as tree roots wrap around ancient stones.

- Days 4-7
Vietnam (Hanoi and Halong Bay)
A short 2-hour flight brings you to Hanoi. Start with the Old Quarter's busy streets and hidden corners. Take a full-day trip to Ninh Binh on day 5. It's often called "Halong Bay on land" and the 2-hour drive rewards you with beautiful limestone formations and peaceful boat rides through rice fields. Plan days 6-7 for Halong Bay, including an overnight cruise. "The cooking class onboard was a highlight," according to one guest. Book your Hanoi departure for early morning to get the most time on the water.

- Days 8-10
Luang Prabang, Laos
Catch a direct flight to Luang Prabang (flights run Wednesday, Friday, Sunday only). This UNESCO site needs time to properly explore. Take a boat to Pak Ou caves on day 8. Pack light clothes for the humid river trip. Visit Kuang Si Falls early on day 9 before other tourists arrive. You'll find the clearest water and best photos in the morning. Spend your last day visiting Wat Xieng Thong and nearby temples. One traveler suggests: "Don't miss the morning alms ceremony, but bring a shawl as mornings can be surprisingly cool."

What people love about 10-day Cambodia and Vietnam tours
- Indochina 10 - Day Unforgettable Journey
We had a great trip and all the transfers and transport between locations went smoothly and on time. Communication was good and queries were answered promptly. We had a great time and would recommend the trip to others
- 18 to 35s Real Cambodia
Amazing country! Guide made all the difference! and i loved how diverse the group was. We had people from all around the world - UK, Canada, US, Argentina, NZ, Australia, Mexico, and Italy! Another amazing experience with Geckos!!! Accommodation was great and in the middle of all the action. I love the times our guide took us to his favorite local spots every place we went - Panha was the man! ALSO having taken buses across borders before in SE Asia, seen all the scams, it was nice to have Panha literally walk us through the entire border crossing to avoid the hassle. SO WORTH IT!
- Golden Triangle of Indochina In 10 Days (Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos)
I went on the Golden Triangle of Indochina In 10 Days (Cambodia,Vietnam,Laos) tour organized by Realistic Asia. I was looking for a multi country tour that was not too long. And found Realistic Asia. I was a bit hesitant as I was not familiar with them but decided to give them a try. As soon as I booked the trip, I was supported all the way before I even stepped foot in the first country. All my questions were answered. I was periodically checked on by the organizer during the trip. Thanks Long! The tour was private in Cambodia and Laos with just a driver and a guide. In Vietnam I joined independent group tours. In Cambodia, I had Pheng as my guide. He was very knowledgeable. His historical knowledge is vast and goes beyond just Cambodia. He great and genuine interest in my country. In Laos, I had Phet as my guide. Also knowledgeable and very helpful. He went above and beyond by standing by when I was checking in and going through the passport control process at the airport when I was leaving. The accommodation was great. Shout out to the Staff and manager of Hari Residence and Spa in Siem Reap who take customer service to exceptional levels. They are the one of the kindest hotel staff I have ever met. All in all I would recommend Realistic Asia to family and friends. Thank you for making this trip memorable. Thank you Long, Pheng and Phet!
