Witnessing the Great Migration river crossing, seeing all of the Big Five and even the Ugly Five on our very first safari, and experiencing countless incredible wildlife encounters made this a truly once-in-a-lifetime journey. We saw elephant families with babies, lions preparing for a hunt and mating, tree-climbing lions, a rare leopard encounter, rhinos, giraffes, hippos, hyenas, vultures, baboons, dik-diks, and so much more. We were particularly impressed with the quality of the safari experience, the excellent knowledge of the wildlife and destinations, the flexibility, and the effort made to ensure that our family had the best possible experience every day. We would also like to give special recognition to Joyce Gitumbi (our admin support) and Wilfred (our safari guide & driver), who provided us with excellent help and support throughout our journey. Their professionalism, responsiveness, patience, and willingness to assist made a significant difference and gave us great confidence that everything was being taken care of. We also greatly appreciated the assistance with our additional Zanzibar bed-and-breakfast booking. Having this extra arrangement coordinated for us made the transition from our safari to our Zanzibar holiday seamless and convenient. Big Five Classic Safari in Tanzania **Sustainable Approach to TravelI had a great time, everything was well planned and there was so much to see (the wildlife, the gorge, the falls and hot springs}. The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable. March is the green season (less busy) so some menu items weren't available, but the staff was wonderful and accommodating. the weather was comfortable.

We could not have done it without the support we received from our guides and porters and we are extremely grateful for everything they did for us from carrying our bags and setting up our tents, to cooking the most nutritious and delicious food for us. Everyone was so friendly and genuinely caring. Although I didn’t make it to the summit due to altitude sickness, my husband did and I am looking forward to returning next year for attempt number 2!
