North America Tours & Trips
Ever wanted to go to Barranquilla's lively Carnaval, one of the biggest parties in the world? Or Nueva Venecia, a floating village with houses built on stilts? In the colonial town of Mompox, where time seems to stand still, you can listen to live jazz, learn about intricate filigree jewelry in historic Mompox's workshops, and find the birthplace of cumbia in El Banco, where African and Indigenous rhythms united.

Overall, the tour was excellent and covered all the sights mentioned, except the 15 min stop at Crowfoot Glacier didnt happen. However, it was run efficiently and well organised. Majority were Asians, but the bilingual guides were sufficiently proficient, able to manage well the different groups that joined in to fill the tour bus each day. Gratuities at CAD$15 per day can be prepaid upon booking. Hotel were good and comfortable, and close to town, making it easy to explore on our own. The 4 in 1 optional excursion package that includes Gondola, Maligne Lake Cruise, etc is highly recommended!

Our first Bindlestiff tour was an absolute blast! Our tour guide, Joe, was incredible. He was super energetic and passionate about the places we visited... and a great driver. You could tell he loved his job as a guide. The tour took us on an incredible adventure to Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Arches, Dead Horse Point State Park, Gooseneck State Park, Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and Grand Canyon. Antelope Canyon was an extra fee, but it was definitely one of the highlights. I suggest Bindlestiff include Antelope Canyon and make the Monument Valley Jeep ride optional. It was a bit dusty, and we could have taken great photos from the parking lot. We were lucky enough to have a hotel to stay in. I can't imagine camping in this setting unless you're an experienced camper. All the hotels/motels were great, except for Ruby's Inn. That motel could use some serious updating. Joe made the best lunches every day for our group of 12... and an amazing charcuterie board for a sunset evening at Dead Horse State Park. We'll definitely consider taking another Bindlestiff tour.

John was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about everything! He would ask if someone was ill or hurt. There was lots of laughter. The group members were all great people! Some will stay connected! I learned so very much! Blindlestiff is NOT Blindstaff! I will never forget this trip and Thank you! BEST TRIP EVER! One suggestion, inform the attendees that there is a time limit for everything absolutely everything so they understand kind of what is happening and that there is no free time. Up early to see everything and done end of day. I feel like it was kind of like we had a timer on and we had to get things done. in reality, we had to have a timer to get to see everything that we saw so therefore I am very grateful. I would like to have known that we really were on the schedule and kind of explained why at the beginning of the trip for first time travelers who doesn’t know! John Harris was incredible.

- Spring 2026
The Southwest national parks hit their stride in spring, while the Canadian Rockies start opening their trails. Our 7-day camping tours through Utah and Arizona are particularly popular as the hiking temperatures get just right. Desert wildflowers pop up everywhere adding color, and the snowmelt fills the rivers - making that Zion Narrows hike especially good. Up in Canada, our Rockies tours kick off as the snow pulls back, giving you both snowy mountain peaks and fresh green valleys to explore around Banff and also Jasper.

- Summer 2026
Long summer days in the Canadian Rockies mean more time for everything - you can paddle on Clearwater Lake where the water's pure enough to drink, hike up to spots like Eagle's View and tackle some serious whitewater rafting on glacier-fed rivers. Our Wells Gray Provincial Park backcountry camping lets you sleep under stars after full days of hiking and also canoeing. Down in the Southwest, we head out early to beat the heat at places like Bryce Canyon, where our customers love watching sunrise play across the orange rocks before the day warms up.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Fall in the Canadian Rockies brings golden aspens in Banff and rich autumn colors around Jasper, with quieter trails to enjoy them from. You get all the same great hikes but with fewer people around. The Southwest really comes into its own too - our travelers find the temperature perfect for longer explorations into the Grand Canyon and tackling those bigger Zion Park trails. The clear autumn air makes for great photos, especially at Monument Valley sunrise and also Grand Canyon sunset.

- Winter 2026 / 2027
Our Southwest winter tours have adapted nicely to the cooler months with small groups of just 14 people max exploring Utah's desert landscapes. The winter route takes you along Monterey's historic waterfront, through the charming streets of Carmel-by-the-Sea and also along the Pacific Coast Route 1. You'll explore Antelope Canyon's sculpted walls, walk through Monument Valley with expert guides and catch the sun setting at the Grand Canyon - just pack those extra layers. Our travelers tell us they love having hiking trails almost to themselves, and when snow lightly covers the red rocks, it creates some really special photo moments.
