Best tour companies for Philippines tours
Based on feedback from our travelers, INTRO Travel runs a really tight ship - they've got their logistics sorted and put travelers up in solid accommodations. The Group Leaders know their stuff inside out which makes a big difference to the overall experience. One Life Adventures has built something special in the Philippines. They take you camping on a private island in Coron which isn't something you'll find elsewhere. What stands out is how they've developed genuine relationships with Filipino communities over time, so you're not just passing through but actually connecting with local life and culture. Do You Travel gets mixed reviews on TourRadar when it comes to where they put people up for the night - some travelers weren't too happy with the accommodation choices. That said, their guide Jovian Orlina clearly knows how to bring a group together and show off the country's natural beauty. The scenery itself consistently impresses travelers and the positive group atmosphere seems to make up for any hotel disappointments.
Best places to start your Philippines tour
Most of our Philippines tours start from Manila - about 58 travelers begin there. Others kick off from Cebu City, Puerto Princesa, Bohol and also Singapore, though these aren't as common. Looking at our booking data, you'll want to lock in your spot around 2 months ahead (63 days to be exact), especially during peak season when island hopping tours fill up fast. The dry season from December to May works best, with March to May giving you the most reliable weather for getting out on the water. Christmas time is particularly special - the Philippines goes all out with months of celebrations, festivals and local traditions. If you're after something different, try catching the Sinulog Festival in Cebu during January or time your visit with Moalboal's sardine run, where millions of fish create this incredible natural show. You can find better deals and quieter spots during June or November in the shoulder season, just be ready to be a bit flexible with weather-dependent activities.

Best time to visit Philippines
- Winter 2025 / 2026
The Philippine winter brings out some truly special experiences from December through February. Our 13-day island routes kick off in Manila then flow into Cebu, where you'll find yourself jumping into the bright blue Kawasan Falls and swimming with massive schools of sardines in Moalboal. Many of our guests tell us their favorite part is the 3-day boat journey between Coron and El Nido - you sleep in simple beach huts under a canopy of stars and visit islands that most tourists never see. The Palawan-focused tour is also popular in winter; you'll get to know the locals in Port Barton, hop between hidden islands and learn to cook proper Filipino dishes. For something a bit different, we've got tours covering Manila, Bohol and also Cebu that mix colonial architecture, tiny tarsier encounters and peaceful river cruises on the Loboc, with nice boutique hotels throughout.

- Spring 2026
Spring really shines in the Philippines from March to May - it's when the water conditions are at their best. Our most complete routes run 10-13 days and blend Manila's old quarters with plenty of time in Palawan. The feedback we get is fantastic about the canyoneering near Cebu and swimming with sea turtles in water so clear it seems invisible. Some travelers opt for our western Palawan focus where you'll camp on empty beaches, pick up spearfishing tips from local tribes and zip between islands on some pretty exciting cable rides. If diving's your thing, we've got tours that start with Bohol's main spots before heading to Panglao where you can dive the rich waters around Balicasag Island. There's also a nice balance in our Cebu City tour that mixes urban discoveries with quiet time on white sand beaches - giving you both culture and coastal time.

The Philippines tours blend pristine beaches with authentic cultural moments, creating rich travel experiences our customers love during summer months. Starting in Manila's historic center, the routes wind through Bohol's scenic countryside and finally, to Panglao's crystal waters. Many tours include visits to the distinctive Chocolate Hills, with opportunities to spot tiny tarsiers in their forest homes. Our travelers often mention how they connect with local life, learning traditional cooking, joining craft workshops and discovering village traditions. The Cebu-focused summer route lets you swim alongside massive sardine schools in Moalboal and also explore the azure cascades of Kawasan Falls. For those seeking more remote experiences, a 3-day boat journey between Coron and El Nido offers nights camping on secluded beaches, where simple bamboo shelters sit beneath star-filled skies. The combined Bohol and Panglao tours earn consistently positive feedback, as travelers might start their morning watching dolphins leap at sunrise and then, spend their afternoon exploring Balicasag Island's vibrant underwater world.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Autumn brings a special side of Palawan with tours centered around its rich marine and cultural experiences. You'll mix traditional activities, like joining local tribes for spearfishing and camping on secluded beaches, with genuine cultural exchanges through school visits in Port Barton and family cooking sessions in El Nido. Many of our travelers tell us the 3-day boat journey from Coron to El Nido stands out most - falling asleep in basic bamboo huts on isolated islands and snorkeling in waters where sea turtles glide clearly visible from above. The paths around Kawasan Falls thin out during this season, giving you space to jump into crystal pools at a relaxed pace. Tours typically include time in Moalboal, where you can float with massive sardine schools and spend extended periods in El Nido, exploring hidden lagoons by kayak and soaring between beaches on elevated ziplines. For deeper cultural connections, you'll meet traditional weavers and learn the art of stick fighting from experienced local masters.

When's the best time to visit the Philippines?
The dry season from November to April is really your sweet spot for exploring the Philippines - perfect weather for island hopping and outdoor adventures. If you're looking to dodge the crowds and maybe save a bit of money try visiting during May-June or September-October. You might catch some rain showers but honestly the weather's still pretty good and you'll have more space to yourself.
What cultural experiences can I join in on?
There's some amazing cultural stuff you can get involved with especially in Palawan where you can trek with the Batak Tribe and learn about their way of life. In El Nido you'll find these great cooking demos where you can learn to make proper adobo and eat kamayan-style which means using your hands - it's really fun! The Cuyonon artisans there do fascinating weaving demonstrations too. If you're after a full-on cultural experience the Philippines Classic 10 Day tour by One Life Adventures lets you try everything from stick fighting to coconut tree climbing and leaf weaving it's really hands-on.
Where can I find some off-the-beaten-path spots?
You've got to check out Port Barton in Palawan it's this lovely fishing village that's still pretty quiet with amazing beaches and snorkeling spots. The Banga-an Rice Terraces in Banaue are incredible too - you can actually meet local villagers and see how they produce rice traditionally. There's this great "Ifugao Villages Trek" tour that takes you to Cambulo and Batad villages where the rice terraces are just stunning.
