Just got home from this tour, it was amazing! Our tour guide, Berner, was the best. As a very limited Spanish speaking person, it was so so helpful to have the guide to help with airports, ordering food, understanding the cultures, tipping, etc. We went through heaps of Inca ruins including Machu Picchu. If you like hiking definitely do the single day Inca trail trek, it was one of my favourite hikes ever, and it ends at Machu Picchu. We did a hike up rainbow mountain on our free day in Peru which was well worth it, but the altitude is a big adjustment. Peru was definitely my favourite country to visit. Bolivia / La Paz was a nice, we went to the Cholitas wrestling on our free afternoon and it was wild/great. Lake Titicaca was beautiful but mostly a tourist trap. Isla de Sol was so beautiful. Paraguay felt quite dangerous, but we were only there for a night. And it was necessary to get to Iguazu. Definitely need your yellow fever international certificate (yellow booklet) to get into Paraguay. Iguazu falls on the Argentina side was so beautiful. The walk is filled with butterflies. Definitely do the boat cruise to the base, but you will be soaked so take extra clothes and shoes. The Brazilian side of the falls is packed with tourists and no where near as enjoyable as the Argentinian side. Rio was amazing, I wish I had a spare day or two here to explore a bit more. Christ the Redeemer is magnificent. It feels a bit unsafe at night time though, the day is fine. Would definitely recommend! There’s lots of travel days but so worth it. The altitude in Peru can make you feel a bit yuck but you adjust. Enjoy! And thank you!

This trip was truly amazing! From beginning to end The Dragon Trip team really took care of us. Before I booked this trip, Morgan from the sales team patiently helped me out with all my questions and doubts. Thanks to his support, I felt confident to actually go through with the booking. Our guide Josh was also an amazing support during the whole trip. He took care of us like a papa bear, such a nice guy with a kind heart! This experience was for me a dream come true. The whole itinerary included so many things that I didn't think it would be possible to do everything in 21 days, but we did! Some days were long with a full program and other days were more relaxed with fewer activities. So it was nicely balanced. I'm happy I did it!

We just returned last week from a Wanderful 21 days in South America. Wendy, Rose, Lily et al did a great job with arranging everything, including some customization – adding São Paulo to the start of our trip and a few extra days in Rio onto the end of our trip. Most of the hotels were great and the day trips we had were with reputable local providers. We didn’t have much time to plan, so really appreciated having everything organized for us. Communication was great - having just done a similar tour across Australia a few months ago with a different company, Wanderful was much better with handling logistics for us. There are a few things I would have done differently with the extra time we had - perhaps researching Machu Picchu in advance (there are different circuits that limit where you can go), an extra day or two in Cusco so we could fit in rainbow mountain and an extra day or two in Buenos Aires so we could have done a day trip to Montevideo. We did have a free day in Iguaçu, so we were able to fit in a day trip to Paraguay ourselves. When we did have issues with tour operators, Wanderful were quick to assist and I can’t stress how great that was. I do wish that bookings had been handled a bit further in advance - we only received our detailed itinerary a few days before our trip which I would have preferred at least 10 days prior. I think the only mistake they seemed to make was requesting single beds when they booked our accommodation. They did try to rectify this after the fact, which worked at some of the hotels, so I haven’t let this affect my rating of their service.

For authentic local experiences, our Colombia tour weaves together coffee plantation visits, colonial architecture and also coastal exploration along the Caribbean. We've added special touches to the premium version, including private tango performances and exclusive winery tours. The Bolivia to Brazil highland route offers a different perspective - you'll wander through La Paz's distinctive markets, explore the white-washed streets of Sucre and cross vast salt flats before reaching the thundering waters of Iguazu Falls. Spring trips work especially well for our travelers, balancing outdoor exploration with cultural insights while avoiding both peak season crowds and intense heat.
