What people love about Nature & Wildlife Tours in The Prairies
- 4-Day Rockies Winter Explorer Tour
All and all trip was good it is a very busy go go not a lot of time at all the places we stop but your get a good “appetizer” of the many things to do in these areas. Food options are not great if you’re a foodie. Most places we stop for food don’t have nice restaurants to eat at. But if you’re just really wanting to see the towns and the Rockies tons of great views just wish we had a little more time in some places. Please continue reading for my tips to future travelers. Things I think would be important things to add for type a personalities or big time planner or even people that need to budget their meals ect would be : - [ ] Hotels we stay at so food options could be researched (towns didn’t help me as much as I had hoped Lyft and Uber was near impossible to get) - [ ] Additional excursions offered at stops and their prices (like the ice skating sleigh rides ect.) - [ ] Approximated time in specific areas to help those that want to make reservations for other experiences or dinners ect - [ ] I had to specifically ask about additional excursions after booking to be sent to me. - [ ] Huge confusion between west trek tours and discover Canada tours didn’t know who to even reach out to - [ ] Typical Drive time between places and putting on list of things to bring such as snacks and waters ect - [ ] Other items to suggest to bring cough drops for dry air, tissues for runny nose, chapstick for cracked lips and lotion for cracked hands. Below are some things I would correct on the tour information so others don’t get disappointed. Check into the hotel in Vernon and make your way to SilverStar Mountain Resort for FREE snow tubing & ice skating SHOULD SAY “OR” Upon return to the hotel, option to go to the adjoining casino SHOULD SAY ACROSS STREET or pub (19+ only) or relax in the hotel pool and hot tub after an active day outside Day 2: Vernon to Banff Breakfast (included) After breakfast depart hotel Drive through the beautiful snow-capped peaks of Mount Revelstoke National Park & Glacier National Park Visit Roger's Pass National Historic Site Arrive at the world renowned Lake Louise and visit Chateau Lake Louise with the option to go ice skating, play hockey or go on a sleigh ride! (seasonal) SHOULD NOT OFFER IF NOT ALWAYS ABLE TO DO OR PUT MORE STIPULATIONS Drive to Banff and enjoy a city tour including Banff Springs Hotel, Bow Falls, Surprise Corner, and Banff Ave. SHOULD SAY VISIT ONE OF THESE OR BE MORE SPECIFIC Check into your centrally located Banff hotel Evening - Free time to go shopping on Banff Avenue or join your guide for a night of dancing Day 3: Banff to Golden Breakfast (included) Option to go on the Banff Gondola Skiers and Snowboarders depart for Lake Louise Mountain Resort. There is also the option for non-skiers to take the Lake Louise Sightseeing Gondola for amazing views of the surrounding mountains. AGAIN ONLY OFFER IF POSSIBLE OR PUT TO NOTIFY AHEAD TO COORDINATE ECT For those not skiing/snowboarding, check out of the hotel and enjoy free time to explore the town of Banff. You also have the option to participate in another exciting winter activity like dog mushing, snowshoeing, ice walking, and more! WHAT IS MORE AND DOG MUSHING WASN’T MENTIONED
- 5 Day Canadian Rockies Tour Visiting Banff Jasper and Yoho National Parks
*Overall the TourRadar tour also with Calgary Tours was wonderful! We saw almost ALL of the traditional well-known sights always mentioned with Calgary, Banff and Jasper with time to spend at the different stops. *The hotels were very nice and were beyond my expectations of lodging, and included breakfasts on most days were good to excellent!! *We purchased the lunch option and lunches were very good, provided in nice restaurants including the Fairmont (!) and an easy option to do. I didn't realize most of the meals would be Asian cuisine but all were delicious. *The buses were all nice an the drivers excellent. *The guides were great! We had Fennar, Erik and Jesse. Very knowledgeable on the sights and provide interesting information. They were all VERY organized and detail-oriented, keeping us on schedule and very clear with directives for the group. A LOT to manage!!!! Impressive!!! The guides were also very caring and attentive towards the tour guests. *I was surprised that people came and went, being on different tours but on our same bus. Different than other tours I've done where we all started out together for the whole tour. That made it more difficult to get to know other travelers. And the tour guests were a very international group which was interesting *Having the guides relate information in both English and Chinese(impressive!) was sometimes hard to follow but the guides would always clarify or repeat if better understanding was required. *The schedule was very rigorous, starting many mornings on the bus by 8:00 and ending at dinnertime. But, we saw LOTS so it was worth the long day!! *The tour communication through email was good with prompt responses to concerns or questions. However, I REALLY appreciated the option of the phone number to call and speak with a live person! And ALL the phone agents were terrific, patient and helpful!!!! *I'm grateful to have done the tour and to have seen the beauty of the Canadian Rockies!
