This was such a great tour. There is a lot to cram into the itinerary for a week so the early starts can get pretty punishing. But it paid off because our guides were able to get us into the sites before a lot of the larger groups arrived. Our guide in Cairo, Sarah, was super friendly and knowledgeable, and gave us a lot of information about modern Cairo as well as the ancient sites. On the cruise, Mansour accompanied us and was equally great both to talk to and in terms of taking care of us and of course his knowledge of the sites. We didn't do any of the extra tours as we felt we wanted to enjoy Aswan and Luxor and the experience of cruising the Nile - as well as grabbing a few much-needed lie-ins. The boat we were on, the Chateau Lafayette, was great and the food and staff were fantastic. Overall, I highly recommend this tour for those with only a week to visit. Ideally, you'd probably come for slightly longer and take things at a slower pace.

This tour is fabulous. The first part of this tour is packed with all the essential sights and coming back to the cruise ship every evening mid trip was a nice relaxing element. Transferring to Hurghada for the last two days for some rest and relaxation was welcomed after the jam-packed week of events. The guides along the way were phenomenal and so knowledgeable. A special thank you to Ali (our guide that picked us up in Cairo and made sure we were transferred safely throughout the start of our journey, Abdou (our guide for the Giza pyramids and local archaeologist), Medhet our guide throughout the Nile cruise part of our trip and Mustafa who handled our transfer to Hurghada with ease and kindness after a long long day.
