Dec 2025 - Switzerland, Italy, & Greece trip. Had an awesome trip with the help of Wanderful Holidays LLC from Switzerland to Italy, and then finally Greece. Everything on the trip was organized and coordinated within close proximity to our hotel or a driver was requested on our behalf if there was a longer transfer needed. The only hiccup was a train ride from Switzerland to Italy but that wasn’t the companies fault as the Italian train workers all went on strike that day so other alternative arrangements had to be made but Wanderful LLC took care of it all and reimbursed us back what we missed. So all in all it was a great trip with good hotels, amazing excursions, and someone to communicate with if there was ever a problem, especially Rose who went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we were taken care of. We will definitely be going through them again for our next overseas trip! Thank you. ??

The tour overall was terrific! The customer service impeccable. We were picked up and driven to all hotels, boat, airports and given an orientation on the way. The only change I would want is to have the last day in Venice and fly to Athens late in day or evening. Other than that the tours were fabulous and the itinerary perfect.

Positives: Overall the tour was planned very well, it was nice to have all the accomodations and (most) travel items looked after, along with a couple activites. This was a great way to travel being our first time overseas, to have most of this looked after. Negatives: We were supposed to receive our travel documents approx. 14 days prior to departure, but we did not receive them until 7 days before... This was frusterating as we were getting anxious for the trip and wanted more information to review ahead of time. We had to pay city tax at each hotel we were at, this ranged from 4 to 6 euros per person per night, so it added up quickly. This was frusterating as it said all the accomodations were included, and there was no note of this being an additional fee in the ad... All of the transfers were included for Greece, but not for Italy. Luckily I saw this noted in another review before we left, so we were aware. Looking back at the ad it does note all the transfers, but when you don't know where you are going you assume everything is included, it didn't clearly note what wasn't included (ie taxis from train / hotel / last airport, although some were walking distance so wondered if maybe this is why they weren't included)... General comments: It would have been nice if there were a couple more activites included, to have at least 1 in each city if we were there for 2 nights or more (even just a walking tour). We added a vatican city tour in Rome (through TourRadar) which included the museum and sistene chapel which in hindsight we could have just gone to vatican city and walked around / went into St. Peters Basilica as it's free. We booked a pasta making class in Florence (on our own) which was fun and educational. We also booked a boat tour in Venice (on our own) that went to Murano, Torcello and Burano small islands which was nice. I would highly recommend both!

- Summer 2026
Those Mediterranean combination tours shine brightest in summer, with thoughtfully designed schedules that make the most of each destination. A comprehensive 12-day journey starts early at major sites like the Colosseum and Vatican Museums, before temperatures climb, then transitions to peaceful afternoon explorations of Venice's back canals or downtime at Tuscan countryside estates. The two-week cultural and coastal route balances morning visits to places like ancient Olympia with refreshing afternoon swims at Mykonos' seaside spots. Our travelers especially appreciate the multi-day cruise segments to Kusadasi, Rhodes, and also Patmos, which deliver both enriching historical insights and pleasant sea air. The Venice-Rome-Santorini combination proves ideal for summer travel, where exclusive early entry to St. Mark's Basilica helps avoid peak crowds, while evening BBQ cruises around Santorini's caldera cap off sun-filled days. Tour participants consistently note how well the itineraries balance structured morning tours with flexible afternoons, perfect for discovering local cafes or finding quiet corners in authentic neighborhoods.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Fall really shows off our Mediterranean tours at their best. Our travelers consistently give high marks to the 15-day Athens-Sicily route through the Greek Peninsula. You'll time it perfectly for grape harvests in Tuscan vineyards and catch Meteora's monasteries right as autumn colors start appearing. There's also a great option that pairs mainland Greece with three days at sea - the waters stay warm and calm, giving you time at both classical sites and island spots. The Athens-to-Rome route taking in Delphi and Olympia works particularly well now - you can explore ancient sites without summer heat and still enjoy dinner outside in neighborhoods like Trastevere. Our customers often mention how beautiful the routes through Alberobello and Matera are this time of year, with late afternoon sun making those white trulli houses look extra special.

- Winter 2026 / 2027
Our winter travelers really love the Italy-Greece combinations that work so well in the quieter season. The 10-day Venice-Rome-Santorini route gets particularly good feedback - you'll find much shorter lines at the Vatican Museums and more space to really take in the collections. After the museum visits, you can warm up with private tastings in local wine cellars. Another solid choice connects Athens to Rome through Sicily, where mild Mediterranean winter days are perfect for exploring Greek temples and Roman villas. We've adjusted the island-hopping segments to match winter ferry schedules and our guides pick just the right times to visit places like the Acropolis when the light is best and crowds are thin.

- Spring 2027
Our popular 15-day route from Athens through Sicily and the Greek Peninsula works beautifully in spring, with perfect timing for grape harvests at Tuscan vineyards and Meteora's monasteries as autumn colors emerge. Customers love our 10-day Athens-to-Rome tours connecting Delphi, Olympia and also ancient sites, where mild temperatures make exploration far more comfortable than summer visits. Early-season sailing holds special appeal with warm yet calm waters, letting you mix classical sites and island exploration at an ideal pace. Spring light makes Alberobello and Matera particularly photogenic, as late afternoon sun washes over those distinctive white trulli houses in soft golden tones. Many of our travelers choose tours combining mainland Greece with 3-day sailing segments, since spring creates perfect conditions for blending cultural visits with outdoor dining in atmospheric neighborhoods like Athens' Plaka and also Rome's Trastevere.
