Historical Tours & Trips in Scotland
On the far edge of the Hebrides, time seems to settle into a slower rhythm. Arnol Blackhouse still reflects the island’s old ways, while the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse faces the restless Atlantic. Around Callanish Standing Stones and Carloway Broch, the past feels close, and the lookout over Corrieshalloch Gorge opens onto the wide, quiet beauty of Sutherland.

We arrived with airport pick up arranged as part of the trip. Our guides in Edinburgh were very interesting and a nice way to start our vacation. We especially enjoyed our own driver/guide Dougie though, who drove us through the beautiful countryside. So much to see along our route while rediscovering Scotlands intriguing history. We highly recommend Spirit journey’s. Great accommodations and a bit of everything, both urban and rural.

It was an amazing experience and Fiona our guide was just a wonderful delight. She was so dedicated and so knowledgeable, which added the perfect compliment to the tour itself. If anyone could herd a bunch of cats, it would be Fiona. She did an amazing job of keeping us organized and on point. Our drive Scott was awesome and did his job with precision and a good sense of humor. I highly recommend not only the tour, but the team of Fiona and Scott as well.
