It was a unique and wonderful experience. Norway amazed me with its natural beauty, each place more beautiful than the last. I highly recommend it! Not only for the country, but also for V.O.S.'s professionalism; they went above and beyond to accommodate all my requests. The guide Stefano is very professional and has extensive knowledge of Norwegian history and the specifics of each place we visited. The driver Roald is a truly friendly person. Fantastic week organised by G Adventures and the guide Karl. He was so much fun and the whole group seemed to have such an amazing experience in Norway that they wanted to come back and do another trip! Itinerary was well thought out, had enough or little enough for people to opt to do. The accomodation was fantastic with lovely staff. Tourradar helped with the list of things needed beforehand which was great. It made things simple and efficient and stress free.

Our private Oslo departures take you to Venabu's peaceful cross-country trails before heading westward where the fjord boats are back in service for the season. At Ægir Brewery, the Viking plank experience feels more intimate during spring, as the groups tend to be smaller and more relaxed. Many of our travelers combine Oslo's rich cultural scene with journeys on the Oslo-Myrdal-Flam railway, where melting snow creates powerful waterfalls cascading alongside the tracks. Balestrand has become a particular favorite, with its traditional Norwegian dinners featuring the freshest spring ingredients, local specialties and also seasonal delicacies. We hear consistently from customers that shoulder season brings excellent value without compromising the Nordic experience - from wandering Alesund's Art Nouveau streets to riding Bergen's Floibanen Funicular for sweeping views across the landscape as nature reawakens.

Our travelers often start in Bergen, wandering the historic waterfront and fish market before hopping on the Flåmsbana railway - it's quite something seeing the train wind through mountain tunnels and past cascading waterfalls. The Lofoten Islands are a highlight too; you can take RIB boats right into Trollfjord or climb peaks like Linken for some incredible views. We've made sure there's time built in for staying in traditional fishing villages and trying local catches. What works really well is how flexible the schedule is - you can go hiking, take optional boat trips or just sit back and take in those fjord views.
