    • Days 1-2

      Oslo

Begin your Norway journey in the capital. Get your rental car at Gardermoen airport in the afternoon to avoid morning traffic. On your first full day, visit Frogner Park early before the crowds arrive and check out the new Munch Museum. You can park in the underground garage near the Opera House and walk around the center since parking downtown is limited and costly.

14 Days in Norway, incl. Oslo and Bergen
    • Days 3-4

      Geilo and Flåm

Take a 3.5-hour drive through Hallingdal Valley to Geilo, a scenic mountain village. The next day, head to Flåm for a Nærøyfjord cruise. Book an afternoon trip in summer since morning fog usually clears by then, giving you better views of the fjord.

14 Days in Norway, incl. Oslo and Bergen
    • Days 5-6

      Norheimsund

After riding the Flåmsbana railway (sit on the right for the best waterfall views), drive to Norheimsund. Take a walk behind Steinsdalsfossen waterfall but bring a light raincoat and wear shoes with good grip since the path can get slippery.

      Bergen

It's a 1.5-hour drive to Bergen. Take the Fløibanen funicular early at 7:30 AM to skip the lines. Visit the UNESCO-listed Bryggen wharf later when the light is perfect for photos. Stop by the fish market for lunch. It's expensive but the local fish soup is worth trying.

    • Days 9-10

      Stryn Area

Travel north to glacier country. For Jostedalsbreen Glacier visits, book a guide beforehand since you can't hike alone on the ice. Pack warm clothes even in summer. It can be 10-15°F cooler near the glacier than in town.

    • Days 11-12

      Geiranger and Lillehammer
