Overall it was a very interesting, informative trip. Felt on the Egypt portion there were too many people involved with different airport assistants etc. Also the food on the Nile cruise was not as good as expected. Would have liked an printed up to date itinerary for each country not just Israel and to have known what extra expenses were involved.

I just finished the Israel, Jordan and Egypt with Nile Cruise (12 days) tour and it delivered exactly what I wanted: a big, iconic-route trip without the usual stress of planning every transfer and border detail myself. Israel felt like the perfect opener, with history that is genuinely overwhelming in the best way. From there, Jordan was a standout, especially Petra. Walking in through the Siq and seeing the Treasury for the first time is one of those moments that does not translate in photos. We also had time to breathe in the desert, and the pace felt well managed rather than rushed. Egypt was the grand finale. The Nile Cruise was the surprise highlight for me: calm mornings on the water, temple visits that actually felt organized, and evenings that gave you a break from constant packing. Seeing the big sites like Luxor-area temples and the major Cairo landmarks in one trip felt ambitious, but it worked because the logistics were tight. If you’re considering it: expect early starts, bring comfortable shoes, and keep some cash handy for any border-related fees or extras. Overall, this was a strong, well-run 12-day experience that I’d recommend to anyone trying to cover the “bucket list” route in one go

Best time to visit Israel and Jordan
- Winter 2025 / 2026
Winter tours through Israel and Jordan run between 10 and 17 days, hitting prime archaeological sites when the weather cooperates nicely. The longer routes give you proper time at Jerusalem's Old City religious sites before heading to Petra's rock-carved monuments. Our groups love having Masada almost to themselves on winter mornings - you get clear Judean Desert views from the cable car going up. The Dead Sea stays pleasant for floating year-round, and in Wadi Rum the Bedouin camps keep everyone cozy with extra blankets during the cool desert nights. You'll also find fewer people at Capernaum, Nazareth and also Mount Nebo during winter months.

- Spring 2026
Our most popular Israel-Jordan combinations run 12-14 days in spring when conditions are just right. These tours start either in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, then move through Nazareth and Galilee before crossing to Jordan. You'll catch wildflowers blooming around ancient Jerash and along the King's Highway on your way to Petra. The guides know exactly when to arrive at Petra early so you can photograph the Treasury in gentle morning light. Our travelers tell us they really like how these trips mix guided tours with free time to wander. The spring evenings at our Bedouin desert camps are perfect for watching the stars come out.

- Summer 2026
Summer calls for smart planning with early starts to dodge the heat. Our 10-12 day summer routes include plenty of cooling off spots - there's the Dead Sea float plus beach time in Aqaba and good pools at carefully picked hotels. We time the Roman site visits at Caesarea and Jerash for cooler hours and stick to shaded paths through Jerusalem's Old City quarters. Getting between Jordan's sites means air-conditioned transport, though walking Petra needs proper shoes and sun cover. Having guides who know exactly when to duck into museums during the hottest afternoon hours makes all the difference according to our customers.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Autumn touring in Israel and Jordan hits its sweet spot during September and October, with pleasant temperatures hovering in the mid-20s. Our 12-14 day journeys flow from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem through Nazareth's historic quarters, before crossing into Jordan's archaeological treasures. The routes connect naturally - from floating in the Dead Sea to watching dawn light wash over Petra's rose-colored Treasury. These longer formats allow proper time in Jerusalem's religious quarters, and give you peaceful nights under the stars at Bedouin desert camps in Wadi Rum. Our guests appreciate having two full days to explore Jerusalem during autumn, when milder weather makes walking the Via Dolorosa and visiting the Church of the Holy Sepulchre more enjoyable. The cultural elements shine through dinners with local families, wandering old city markets as golden evening light filters through, and discovering ancient stories. You'll find fewer visitors at important sites like Masada fortress, Capernaum and the Dead Sea, where temperatures stay perfect for that legendary float experience.

What's the best way to combine Israel and Jordan in one trip?
You can either go with organized multi-destination tours or plan it yourself if you want more flexibility. The Highlights of the Holy Land Israel & Jordan & Cairo Tour runs 13 days and hits all the major spots like Petra's ancient city and Jerusalem's sacred sites. If you're doing your own thing consider crossing at places like Sheikh Hussein Bridge or Arava border — actually our Israel Jordan and Egypt with Nile Cruise 12 days tour uses Arava and travelers seem to like that route.
What are the key cultural considerations for visiting Israel and Jordan?
Dress modestly especially at religious sites — women should keep shoulders and knees covered. Watch out for photo restrictions at places like the Western Wall and remember Friday's the Muslim holy day while Saturday's the Jewish Sabbath so some shops might have shorter hours. Learning a few basic Arabic or Hebrew phrases goes a long way. Tipping's pretty standard in both countries usually around 10% for services based on what we've heard from Israel Jordan and Egypt with Nile Cruise 12 days tour reviews.
How much does a combined Israel and Jordan tour cost?
Prices really depend on how long you're going what kind of hotels you pick and what you want to do. Group tours like Israel Jordan and Egypt 10 Days with budget-friendly stays at places like the Deborah Hotel in Israel usually run between 00-3000 per person. Private tours like Nabatean Wonders 8 days cost more but you get a more personalized experience with cool stuff included like floating in the Dead Sea and exploring Petra. Going solo can be cheaper but remember to factor in all the little costs like hotels transport and entrance fees — like that 44 NIS per person for the Where Jesus Walked tour.
Which unique cultural experiences should I prioritize?
You've got to experience real Bedouin culture in Wadi Rum Jordan — sleep in traditional tents ride camels across the desert and do some amazing stargazing (our Israel Jordan and Egypt with Nile Cruise 12 days tour folks love this part). Try a traditional Zarb dinner where they slow-cook meat and veggies under the sand. Take a cooking class in Tel Aviv to learn about Israeli food or explore bustling markets like Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda or Amman's souks — they're highlights on our Highlights of the Holy Land Israel & Jordan & Cairo Tour. Remember to research specific dates and interests for your trip!
