The tour was well worth the money we paid. Karim our guide was patient, professional and helpful. He was the sort of guide that you want directing you through the process and the cities. The optional shows that were offered were well worth it - we enjoyed our Budapest dancing dinner show. The Grinzing district in the middle of autumn is probably something that should be replaced - I don’t think too many people opted to go here. There wasn’t too much time dedicated to Bratislava- even though our day was marred with rain this could be a destination that could be extended. I’m Prague we were separated into two hotels - one was a 4 star hotel the other a 3 star. Was wondering why this was the case. I was also wondering if there couldn’t have been opportunities to bond as a group in some capacity. A dinner/ lunch? where we could introduce ourselves. Overall, we enjoyed our experience. Both karim and our driver were very good. Karim made sure instructions were clear and the itinerary transparent.

We totally enjoyed our late October cruise even though groups from Spain and Germany were in the majority. City visits were brief and our boat seemed often to be moored in the furthest port from the sights. By engaging local guides through Viator we saw and learned a lot. Bring your walking shoes and use the excellent inexpensive public transportation. Food was excellent, each meal had several courses and there were choices. Staff was helpful, unobtrusive and friendly. Entertainment was one DJ and the music was not what we are used to hearing. Lounges were spacious and had comfy furniture along with lots of windows. Expect to go thru lots of locks. Overall it was a great way to experience the sights and sounds several cities.

Though I should mention some people have run into issues getting clear answers about refunds, and there have been a few hiccups with hotel quality and reaching drivers. Their guides Dasha and John get a lot of love from customers for really knowing their stuff, and they're pretty flexible about adjusting tours to what people want to see. The way they structure their tours makes sense too - everything flows nicely from one stop to the next. For river travel, Crucemondo's got comfortable boats with good food and helpful crew members. The one thing to keep in mind is their "there and back" routes mean less time in each port city. Some travelers mention wishing they had more time to explore, but the actual cruise experience itself is quite good. Each company has its strong points - it really comes down to what matters most for your trip. If you need solid transfer service, Wingbuddy could work well.
