About me:My name is Chuom Cheak. I am a licensed tour guide in Angkor Archaeological Park. I have been working as a tour guide for many years in Angkor Archeological Park and other tourism sites in Cambodia. I am from a small village in the Siem Reap province. I have lived here all my life so am very touched to share my experiences of Cambodia with foreign guests. I graduated from Siem Reap University of South East Asia with a degree in English, so I am pleased to share my language skills with you. I am fluent in English and able to speak clearly and without a strong accent so you can understand me easily. I am an official licensed guide, trained by the Cambodian Tour Guides Association. With my guiding services you are able to receive accurate information and licensed guiding within all of the temples of Angkor Archaeological Park. In 2016, I applied to be a CEO (Chief Experiences Officer) and I am pleased to be presently employed by G Adventures. I am now leading Tours in Indochina with in Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. I aim to provide exciting and amazing tours to all of my travelers. As well as clear and interesting information about the sites, I like to inject my personality into the experience and use the opportunity for you to ask questions with a local about all aspects of these countries’ life. I like to have fun with you so it is more than just a tour, but a chance to talk with someone who is very passionate with not only the places but also all of these countries.

I had the time of my life the guide and the people on tour was very genuine and pleasant. The tour its self was well crafted with the price in mind. i recommend it a 100 %
Sri Lankan people are so wonderfully friendly and happy. We saw the Kapil brothers' gardens and an orphanage which had previously been owned by a Scottish couple who had no children. See the tsunami site where there is a monument for those who lost their lives. Different culture but they like everyone. Elephant safari is more about the driving experience of the young males in their mud antics. Wonderful food to experience too.
Well coordinated, exceptional tour guides on every scheduled tour. I don’t mind paying extra for a wonderful lifetime memorable trip. Highly recommend to everyone

We were fortunate to be with a great group of people who all joined in. 'Jack' is obviously passionate about what he does and he shared that passion with us all. He added value by giving us a good insight into 'normal' life in parts of Cambodia.
He had a great sense of humour which, with his enthusiasm, contributed to a fun time during the tour and appeared to be appreciated by all the group.
Throughout the tour and at the end he offered support to everyone to ensure that the tour was lacking for nothing.
We weren't expecting to see Kick-boxing or allow Tarantulas to exercise their legs on our arms and chests before being fried for us to savour! Each day provided a new experience.

The tour was excellent with a packed itinerary and lots of extra activities and Cheak was friendly and funny.
My CEO was very unpleasant to deal with. He would rarely address my questions, and even if he did, he would do it in the most condescending way that make me uncomfortable. Chuom chheak as a tour guide, we’ll let me put it this way, I have been traveling for almost 7 years and I have never in all that time met a better tour guide, care 24/7 always made sure you were the main priority. Not only that he went above and beyond buying local foods out of his own pocket for us to try, being our photographer without even being asked. And there was not one moment of the day where he wouldn’t have a smile on his face. Can not recommend Chuom enough!

The river cruise was a perfect combination of adventures and pleasant cruising down the river. We particularly enjoyed the chef on the cruise, the food was amazing. Our CEO Cheam (Jack) made the whole trip come together perfectly. He was funny, friendly and always helpful. He has amazing energy and helped all the clients gell together perfectly. He always answered our questions and was available to help whenever needed. This young man is perfectly suited as a leader and guide on this trip.

We visited 4 countries in 1 month and we became like a family. I appreciate the ethical principle of G Adventures of not using abused animals (e.g. elephants) during the tour, and Cheakk emphasized this principle very well. Also he was very empathic towards children in Cambodia and Laos and his dedication to help children learn English and build a different future was impressive. We didn’t have any incidents and I believe this was due to our guide and the team that accompanied us during the journey. I will surely recommend G Adventures to my friends and, of course, Cheakk, our guide, friend and brother.

In addition to that, I highly appreciate Cheak as a person, everything he does, ultimately in order to support his family in Cambodia, that was probably the thing that I was most impressed about. Life as a tour guide is not always easy, especially as you have a family waiting for you back home. As a result, I can honestly say that Cheak is one of the most inspiring people I met during my travels, and I am quite sure we will see each other again. Until then, keep up the good work!

With him being from Cambodia he had a lot of insight and shared his knowledge with us, making the long journeys interesting and informative. We got taken to some lovely places to eat and a lot of places I wouldn't have visited if I was traveling by myself (such as steet food markets).
I couldn't of asked for a better CEO than Cheak! Cheak was great fun, informative and helpful. He went the extra mile to make sure we were all happy and used our time exactly how we wanted. Even after the tour had ended, Cheak made sure I was comfortable with things such as next hotels and travel arrangements getting home and I am very grateful for this help.

The group wanted to go to Ba Na Hills on one of the free afternoons so Cheak arranged all the transport and helped with purchasing tickets, it was a great add on the tour and we all really appreciated that Cheak had gone out of his way to sort it out and come along with us all to share the day. He is by far the best tour guide that I have come across, he even arranged airport transport for people who were staying in Vietnam for a bit longer. If you end up on one of Cheak's tours then you will have the best time!!

The itinerary itself was really good too, so glad I did this tour, otherwise I don’t think I would have visited Cambodia; i didn’t know much of the history, but having spent a fair amount of time there has opened my eyes, about Khmer Rouge.

The tour was listed as Highlights of Madagascar- and we certainly were given that. We felt we were given a good overview of Madagascar.
In order to get to the parks for the highlights however, there were long, long drives. The transportation was better than most vehicles we saw, but uncomfortable for lengthy travel days. The national road system is in poor repair, which slowed the travel.
With the unpredictability status of the internal flight from Toliara to Antananarivo- an additional day in Antananarivo should be included into the itinerary. The unfortunate abrupt cancellation of our internal flight by the airlines meant we missed connections for our home flights despite having booked with 24 hours leeway.
The cancellation of the flight was not a GAdventures mistake - and our guide tried to alleviate the distress of the tourists, but it left an unfortunately bad taste in our mouths after having enjoyed the rest of the tour.
Your itinerary needs to be rewritten to reflect the fact that a drive back to Antananarivo can NOT be arranged, or plausible when flights are abruptly cancelled at the last minute.
