Helsinki to WarsawOverall, the tour was good to very good, depending on the particular day. There are 2 things that I think were very basic errors. First, everyone in the group should have received a list of the others in the group prior to the tour. Such a simple thing to to with computers and email, but it wasn't done. BTW, I've never been on a small tour such as this that did not do this. Second, with all the long bus rides, it would have been so simple for the bus to have a supply of bottled water to hand out, but never done ( unlike all trips I've taken before). Tour guides were excellent and worked hard. Accommodations were better than expected. Some stops along the bus rides were not up to par and seemed to be just a way to kill time to get to the hotel later.
Highlights of Poland and Baltic - 13 DaysThe Baltic part of this trip deserves 5 stars, Janis was an excellent tour guide. He really went above and beyond. The countries are also beautiful and I enjoyed everything we did. The Helsinki part was slightly disappointing, I wasn't a fan of the driving tour. And at the end of the fortress excursion we were put on a tram and told we would know the stop when we'd see it. Google maps saved the day. Also think charging over 100 euros for a taxi to the airport is extortionate when we found out it would cost 35-50! Overall I really liked seeing these 4 countries and would recommend (maybe stopping after Tallinn)
